Whatever the vendor tells you this not RG8X.
This is RG8 coax only and is unsuitable for use on boats where VHF is used and the antenna is some distance away from the radio and the coax has to wiggle through and around bulkheads and obstructions. You need true RG8X which has the extra low loss layer of foil screening....which this does not have. Happy to provide macro photos of this cable and of true RG8X.
