Put one on each side of the mailbox - the "lense" do not hold up in the weather. Very brittle - had to buy a new seat to replace one.

Decided to get this for my back porch door. I like the look of them. After a few months one of them conked out, tried replacing the battery but looks like some issue with the circuit, either elements or rust must have shorted something.Another tip is I do recommend swapping the batteries for AA NiMH. They are much brighter than the 600mAH NiCD batteries they come with. That said the default batteries work and it is nice they are included so you can install right away, but upgrading the batteries will be a big improvement. And the fact you can replace the battery cell is another nice part of this design.I am going to order another set and hopefully they last longer. Seems like these solar lights are always hit and miss on how long they survive.

Thank You Amazon! I ordered this item for the 4th time. Last order was damaged, no instructions or fasteners. As soon as I opened the box, it was obvious it was messed up. Amazon made it so easy to return and replaced it in within one day with everything as it should be. Dropped off the damaged item at Kohl's.

These are exactly what I wanted. They provide enough light to see my deck stairs and walkway at night, without projecting light up onto the deck. I like to sit out at night and look at the stars, and these don't interfere at all. Plus they are beautiful and give a soft light that is very inviting and pretty to look at. They come on automatically and stay on through the early morning hours, depending on how much sun we've had during the day. Perfect!

I bought these to see if I could avoid doing any sort of low voltage system. Nope. They're effectively a nightlight that direct all their light downward. While that may keep you from stubbing your toe in an 8x10 bathroom, it's quite useless in an outdoor setting. Because the LED is so far up in the housing, you could probably measure out the illumination are at about 16x60" with the light about 4-5' off the ground. I wasn't looking for a flood light, but I did want a usable amount of light around the perimeter of my yard and these just aren't bright enough.

Easy to install, and the lights are just the right brightness. Can switch them to colored easily.

I was looking for solar lights to place around on the inside of my fence. I didn't want anything too bright that would bug the neighbors but something that gave a soft light. These lights are amazing. They are light and very easy to install. I notice a few were saying they were made out of cheap plastic. They are made out of plastic but if you take care of them, they will last a very long time. Plus if they break, the price is reasonable to buy another set. I bought these two to test them and then a week or so later bought a set of 8. I will buy these again!!!

I mounted these to a fence that received plenty of sunlight during the summer and the lights worked well. They're now shaded most of the day and they don't get very bright once the sun goes down. I have to pull the light units out of the frame and put them in direct sunlight every 2 or 3 days to charge the batteries up. I was hoping that the solar panel would be efficient in the shade, but it doesn't seem to be up the task given the current light level.
