Very good book good read

Forget the Bible folks.…!! This is the only Bible you need if you’re looking for a Spiritual Template to guide you towards the Spiritual Truths. It provides all you need for your Spiritual Journey. I invested in a Hard Copy in order to be able to refer it time and time again. If you’re struggling to understand what it’s about then it can be used in conjunction with Video Education to bring its meaning to life.

Absolutely stunning quality in terms of presentation. I have paid 3-5 times this price to independent esoteric publishers for a similar look and feel of hardcover. Really cannot stress enough the value for money here. As for the content, forget the dodgy and entertaining origin story (which is no surprise if you are open to the fact that John didn’t write Johns gospel or Moses didn’t actually receive tablets inscribed by God), this is a beautiful, super clear and concise argument for western non dualism. Echoes of Advaita Vedanta for me without the moralism or negation of physical life. I genuinely couldn’t put it down. A high recommendation indeed!

This important book on the fundamental principles of Hermetic Philosophy has been continuously in print for over 100 years. First published by the Yogi Publication Society in 1908, it has been reprinted many times in several different editions and formats, culminating in this centenary edition. This new edition contains an introduction by Richard Smoley which consists in the main of a series of speculations about the identity of the mysterious 'Three Initiates' who wrote the book that adds nothing of value to it—except for mystery-mongers—and may be safely ignored by serious students in search of truth. So far as I can ascertain this edition is verbatim with the original edition of 1908. Written with a clarity and brevity that is thoroughly in keeping with the precision of the language of ancient Egypt, the Kybalion is essential reading for any serious occult student who wishes to understand the seven universal laws that govern all material and spiritual phenomena. The book sets out these laws in clear language all can understand and provides several hints as to how they may be applied to benefit ourselves and others. If you have not heard of this book and know little or nothing about Hermetics, I suggest that you read the principal works on the Corpus Hermeticum from which the authors have drawn the material for this book. These are 'The Divine Pymander of Hermes Trismegistus', translated by Dr Everard in 1650, and published by Wizards Bookshelf, in the USA in 1978, and 'The Virgin of the World of Hermes Mercurius Trismegistus', translated by Anna Kingsford and Edward Maitland in 1884, and also published by Wizards Bookshelf in 1977. Both these books can be read online at the Sacred Text Archive. The basic thesis of The Kybalion is that the universe arose out of Mind, and not the other way around, as modern science teaches us. Once this simple truth is grasped we start to see the world with new eyes. We can then use the seven universal laws the book describes to unlock the hidden meaning of any philosophical or occult text, and also apply them to any area of our life; health, relationships, work, etc., for our own benefit in particular and that of the world in general. The seven laws or principles described in The Kybalion are: (1) Mentalism, (2) Correspondence, (3) Vibration, (4) Polarity, (5) Rhythm, (6) Cause and Effect, and (7) Gender, or Sex. This thesis is in full accord with the highest occult Wisdom of both East and West.

A must read. Basic knowledge to step off from.

I absolutely had to leave a full five-star review for this product solely due to the fact of the original version of this book being so totally phenomenal and inspirational of a read. It is an eye opening and enlightening exploration of the inner workings of the entire universe and beyond. I would never want to discourage anyone from reading this book by leaving a negative review on this “product” and therefore the reader of this review potentially falsely associating a negative review on this publisher with the masterpiece of the original work itself. That being said, this product and version of it was a horrible and utterly disrespectful rendition of a once beautiful masterpiece of work. Completely falsely advertised as having “gilded edges” which it does not. Nor does it have the purported “red ribbon bookmark” at all. This publisher needs to stop falsely advertising and making an illegitimate profit off of work that they have no business profiting from. On top of this, I have to say the absolute worst review I have to leave on this product has nothing to do with aesthetics. It has entirely to do with the unnecessarily added disgraceful and disrespectful introduction. The book was perfect on its own without this specific publisher adding their own version of the introduction that made a foolish mockery of the authorship and beautiful content of this work. Written by “Richard Smoley”, a nobody who felt the need to interject his subjective and supercilious opinion on this book that no one cares to even hear about, he insulted its authorship of “The Three Initiates” which is a well-known supposed pseudonym for William Walker Atkinson, a writer and publisher of over 100 esoteric books. He even goes as far as to critique Atkinson’s career as a lawyer asserting that he was somehow a failure. On top of this, he falsely and although tries to avoid, succeeds in claiming that the entire work of The Kybalion was a plagiarism! At one point, he even equates the fantastic and mysterious nature of the books original origins as described by “The Three Initiates” as a “pious fraud”. This was not an honorable introduction but more of a bias critique and review made by an ignorant buffoon reminiscent of a book report written by a high school dropout. Clearly, the publisher failed to even read it before adding it and consequently publishing it. False advertisement and bashing your own product within its very own text is a clear and evident sign that the creators of this rendition and product know absolutely nothing about marketing. All in all, an amazing and profound read all but defiled by this publisher and product seller. I hate to say it but move on to another version.
