Great cutter, good value
Having finally bit the bullet and procuring a mag-drill recently, I've been slowly buying annular cutters as the need arises. First few I bought were Jancy Sluggers, but I decided to give these a try as they are also highly rated and somewhat less expensive. I like that these come with the pins without having to dig through the listings, having the buy those separately is a pain (and typically pricey). I used the cutter I purchased to gang drill 1/2 plate (4x plates, so 2" at a time, and yes I got a 2" depth cutter). Cutter performed very well, no chips or even discoloration on any teeth even after drilling a total of 16" of steel. I did use cutting oil (and yes it's required if you're not familiar with machine tooling), nothing too specific, just the general purpose cutting oil I had on hand. Note: If you gang drill as I did, you will have to remove the slugs from each layer as you go, the last bit of the cut always stays on the slug and that will not cut when it's spinning in the hole, this is not a fault of the cutter, there's really no way to prevent this with annular cutters. I am quite pleased with these cutters and will be looking at more of these as I run into a need for them.

High quality for a good price
Really happy with this cutter so far. Goes right through 1/2 mild steel plate with ease. No chatter, breakage, or exsesive run-out. Makes clean perfectly sized 5/8 holes. Beats the heck out of a twist drill, hole saw or cheap ctc. Be sure to run at the proper speed, feed preasure, and lube/oil. I've been running this in an large variable speed industrial drill press with an accusize adapter without issue. If you are looking to run one of these in a drill press you will need a morse taper to 3/4 weldon shank adapter.

Great mag drill bits
Had some laser cut parts I needed to make the holes bigger. Not usually how these bits are meant to drill. They want to be drilling a flat surface. I went through a lot of other bits doing this and this evolution one held up better than any of them. REALLY good bits. Very happy

Excellent cut
Excellent cut. Evolution is as good as Hougen and I've always considered Hougen as the best.

Solid performance despite unideal usage
I needed to drill 34 holes in 3/4" mild steel with this 7/8" bit. Unfortunately, I do not have a milling machine or mag drill, but only an underpowered drill press (1/2 max). Nevertheless, I got to 20 before it really bogged down. This could have been due to improper speed/feed rate/oil on my part which was impossible to perfect with my drill press. I drilled two more holes before realizing it's best to get another. I'm impressed regardless. The next bit I got was another brand (cheaper) and it bogged down after 10. Evolution is definitely worth a couple more bucks.

Stays sharp
I used this to drill 529 holes in 1/2” mild steel. I was careful to not pull down hard on the drill and used lots of cutting oil. Took maybe 30 seconds or so per hole so took a while. I was expecting to go through several bits for this project but this bit made it the entire way with maybe just a little dulling. Very impressed.

Buy it
I questioned these being worth the money, in that I can’t sharpen. I am double framing a truck. I purchased 3, 5/8 cutters. I’ve drilled more than 50 holes, in frame rail, I did have one shatter, 20+ holes in, but that could have been my fault for not being lined up. I’ve drilled 50 + holes, with two bits. 5/8 holes in mild steel is tough, I’m drilling truck frame. I bought 10 5/8 standard drill bits, hoping they’d be enough, with one man sharpening and one drilling? These are the deal, if you have the mag drill, buy them! I did keep them oiled/cooled, but that should be a given? Pleased!
