This little light of mine, imma let it shine
I don't like leaving reviews but I wanted to leave one for this product. Another review said that these were flimsy and not very sturdy or bright. Throw that suggestion out of the window. These are anything BUT! The lantern has a bit of weight to it, so it won't roll around or get blown over if it's windy. The different light settings are great! Warm, cool or bright like the sun. I actually blinded myself by turning it on, not thinking it would be that bright. I love that it takes a C port charger, as my phone also takes that so if I need to recharge, I have that option. The cover/shield, that goes over the light feels like a hard like plastic or maybe fiberglass feel. Not something that would break if accidentally dropped. My first through was that it was a type of plastic with paper inside. Nope! Definitely NOT that. The little handle is great too, comfy to hold and light enough to carry without tiring your arms too much. The price?! $14 for 2! It's a steal! These could easily go for $39.99 each at a big company like Walmart or something. The only con here is that the different light settings don't have a 'dim' setting. So if you're needing a nightlight before bed, while camping ..it might not be the best for you. Charging the lamp takes about an hour, but on the first charge I like to keep it in for a bit longer. That way the internal battery stays good longer. With all that said, I don't know why more people are not purchasing these for camping. Seriously. BUY THEM!!!

Best lantern I've owned
I mainly use this lantern as a night light in my bathroom, though it will also be handy when the power goes out. It is better than any previous lantern I've owned in three ways: I can alter the color of the light (the subdued yellow color is best for my purposes), I can select the exact brightness I want, and, most important, it remembers these settings so I don't have to reset it each time I turn it on. In addition to those three things, I also like that there is no brand name written on the lantern. I took off the wire that's there for hanging it up, since I don't need that, and that was easy to do (just pull it out). I got two lanterns for not much more than the price of one, so I always have one that is fully charged. Battery life is good, since I've been using one for about a month and haven't yet needed to recharge it.

Good for the money
Typical plastic feel and quality, however, these lanterns excel because of : 1. stepless dimming (allows for whatever light level you want) 2. 3 color temperature adjustments 3. Good run times (lasts roughly 30% longer than similar light output lanterns with similar batt capacity) 4. Value 5. Usb c charging Cons: 1. Lantern only charges at 4.5 - 4 watts. it takes forever to charge. 3-4 hours. 2. No battery indicator, the lantern just shuts off. Turning the lantern back on seems somewhat bright , but will shut off shortly after again due to battery being low. This makes it difficult to judge how full the lantern is unless its fully drained. 3. Could have been given a bright or reflective base and top to distribute/reflect more light within the lantern.

Held charge for 15 months!
We bought these after a blackout in the neighborhood. Received, tested them, and then put them away for 15 months. Out of the 4, 3 held enough charge to be on for more than 90 minutes before our power was restored. Mind you, we did not charge them after testing them initially 15 months ago. They were bright and it is very nice to change the temperature (white, soft-white, & warm-white).

Simple and Intuitive
I had purchased a similar rechargeable lantern for camping and was very happy with the "warm white" and dimmer settings that allowed for a soft glow. I was going to purchase a second identical lantern and came across this one. It was $10 cheaper with a larger light area. They both feature 3 light temperatures but instead of 3 brightness settings, this model will gradually darken or lighten by holding the button until you find the perfect level for your situation. The only fault I found is that the base does not have rubber feet so it can slide easily on a smooth surface. I used it at medium brightness for over 5 hours with power to spare. All in all, this is a great lantern that is versatile and simple to operate.

Great performing rechargeable lantern 2-pack
These lanterns are great. They have several light settings that I like and they have settings for 3 different wavelenghts of light (White, daylignt and warm). That is a feature that is so nice to have. The lanterns are easy to charge and are very reasonably priced. I like the fact that they are lightweight and are a small, compact concise size. The only feature that I wish they had was an option for using regular alkaline batteries as a power source as well as the rechargeable battery. That way, if we lose power at our house, the alkaline battery option would allow the lantern to function even if the rechargeable battery had not been charged. Overall, however, this product is great and getting a 2-pack at a great price is remarkable.

Blinding to look at, but a good hanging light
I don't like the frosted plastic of this lantern; even though it doesn't project a ton of light, it is absolutely blinding to look at. When I'm walking with someone, they want to be in front of me because they don't want it in their field of vision. For me walking with it, it's blinding even though I'm looking forward because there isn't a hood on the top of this lantern, like there is on other lanterns. I take this with me every day when I go to the dog park because I often stay after dark. When I use it, it's as a hanging light (I hang it on a tree, near the picnic table) and it's excellent as that. The bulb itself does not seek to blind you once the plastic window has been removed, and it projects light better in that orientation as well. In that orientation, it can also be used as a flashlight. It doesn't have a focused beam, but it's effective enough to help you see where you are walking and it's how I would recommend using it, rather than in its lantern orientation. As a lantern, this thing is awful and I'd give it 1-2 stars. As a hanging light that doubles as a flashlight, it's quite nice. Because this is primarily intended as a lantern and it fails at its main appeal as a device to be used on top of a table, I can't give it a high rating. I'm on the fence about whether I want to see if there's something I can exchange it with that serves all purposes well, but I am happy enough with it as a hanging light that I may just keep it.
