Viavito Unisex's PVC Equipment Floor Mat

My husband recently bought this mat to sit under our sofa and act as a permanent base for our large footstool, as we were having a bit of a nightmare with it sliding about on the hard floor every time someone sat down. It has worked perfectly for that purpose, providing a really solid grip that keeps the furniture exactly where it should be without any shifting. The clever part is that because the footstool is quite substantial, the mat underneath is large enough to sit under all four legs and double up as a dedicated exercise space for him. When he wants to work out, he simply moves the footstool aside and has a ready-made, comfortable surface to use right there in the living room. It feels very durable underfoot and has a good amount of cushioning which is ideal for floor exercises or stretching, yet it is thin enough that it doesn't look out of place as part of the room's decor. We have been very happy with the quality so far, as it hasn't started to peel or lose its shape despite having heavy furniture sat on it for most of the day. It lays nice and flat without the corners curling up, which was a concern of mine, and it is easy enough to wipe down if it gets any marks on it. It is a practical, dual-purpose solution that has solved the sliding furniture issue while giving him a consistent spot for his daily routine without having to lug a heavy gym mat out of a cupboard every single time. Great value as it means it's covered both the function as an exercise mat and protecting the floor from the footstoll.

Before I bought this mat, I was using a rolled foam yoga-style exercise mat, but after a while, the foam started breaking up, and going everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE. I was tripping over it where it wouldn't lay flat and the quality was clearly not up to scratch for my needs (weight lifting and some basic cardio exercises) and because of the uncoated foam material, it soaked up any and all fluids that one would encounter during a strenuous workout that it was difficult to clean and a simple wipe-down just wasn't enough I quickly realised the design was kind of disgusting - I needed an exercise mat that was going to be sturdy enough to last a long time and not shed junk all over my apartment every time I wanted to workout and would be easy to clean and bigger without spending too much money. I did a lot of research and every time I ended up back at this mat. I bought one about twice as wide as the mat I was already using and was sceptical at first as I'd never heard of the brand, and I'm not exactly knowledgeable when it comes to exercise mats, I just knew I needed the total opposite of the mat I already owned, and this was exactly it! I've owned mine for a year now, and use it for a variety of exercises perhaps 1-4 workout per week both high and low impact and there is no show of wear - it is all in tact. Yes it is big, but there are different sizes available if you're short of space. The larger one for me is perfect, I can do my entire workout on the mat, and if I step off it without paying attention it's not too thick where I might lose my balance, but it's nice and comfy on my joints and if I can't be bothered to get up from it after a cool-down stretch, I have been known to go for a quick nap though I wouldn't recommend if your floor is tiled underneath, keep a pillow nearby if you are partial to a post-workout siesta, but that's just me. It's easy to clean the surface and the underside is non-slip, I lay mine on half tile and half carpet and it stays put no matter how much I jump about. I live in a small apartment so I was concerned about storing such a big thing when I first bought it, but I just roll it up into a sausage and stand it up against a bookcase out of the way and just unroll it when I need it, if one edge is slightly curled up from it being rolled, I just roll that edge the opposite way and it lays totally flat . Great choice, I'll buy another if mine ever breaks but it's not looking like it will, I highly recommend this mat!

I didn’t know what to expect from the mat as it’s very hard to tell by the picture alone. I went for the larger size 200cm and I’m glad I did as it’s absolutely perfect. I needed a mat to workout and jump on; we are on a second floor and I was only too aware of the neighbours downstairs and the wooden floor in the living room. This mat cushions most of the noise and it’s really brilliant for working out on. It does not slip on the wooden floor. However it is quite slippy itself- for example when stretching in downward dog position the hands will slide quite a lot. Definitely not recommended for yoga for exercises that require non slip surface. Shoes are fine and do not slip. Overall I’m extremely happy with the purchase and give it 4.5 stars. Would buy again.

The mat should have arrived on the 24th December but didn't arrive until the 28th. The late delivery date didn't really bother me as I didn't expect it before Christmas in any event and the delivery dates are only punched out automatically by built in coding. I bought this to put under a new rowing machine that I ordered and haven't got yet, but the mat seems fit for purpose. It's quite firm with a hard surface that is not too hard to use as an exercise mat but hard enough to stand the rigours and vigour's of a rowing machine sat on it. Some reports mention that it is not absorbent enough to soak up excess perspiration but again not a problem to me as I don't intend to flog myself into the ground when rowing. It's supposed to be a pleasure working out not some masochistic beasting of oneself.

I didn’t want to spend this much money on a mat but I could not find anything else that is long enough to fit a rowing machine on. Glad I found this. It’s the perfect size and great quality - stops the machine moving and protects a karndean floor.

So far so good. Covers a large area, sticks firmly to the floor (tried on marble and hard wood floors) and is very comfortable. I use it as an exercise mat for kettlebells, jump rope and bodyweight workouts. It also provides a soundproofing effect so as to not disturb the downstairs neighbors. Very satisfied so far with overall comfort and convenience. Hope it also proves durable and lasts for a long time.

Comprato per metterci sopra il mio vogatore ad acqua, che altrimenti si spostava in avanti durante la voga. Ora è perfettamente stabile. I piedini lasciano profondi segni nel tappetino che è molto morbido, quindi ottimo anche per fare esercizi. Dopo un'oretta i segni però spariscono completamente e il tappeto torna esattamente come prima. Il tappeto è inoltre più ampio di molti altri sia in larghezza che in lunghezza, il che non guasta. Spero duri nel tempo.

Mon rameur grinçais un peu sur le sol en balatome, j'ai donc décider d'acheter un tapis. Les dimensions sont parfaite, mon rameur ne grince plus et il a gagner en stabilité. Tapis de très bonne qualité, antidérapant. Je recommande vivement

This mat is great. Perfectly fits my purpose. I use it for excising and it is not slippery on the tile floor. I bought other mats on Amazon and all of them slipped, as they had a plasticky and shiny feel to them and the slipped on the tile floor and on the wooden floor. I had to return them back. The material of this mat is not a plastic rubber, but a proper rubber which normally should not slip. Obviously you will leave a dent on the mat if you put a chair on it or something heavy, but this is nomal, most of of them dent anyway. Very satisfied with this product.
