Like every guy that works with tools I have at least 12 or so different box knives. Many high end, many highly functional, all heavy duty. And just like others here I will tell you I wished I had got these sooner. I own 2 now. Simple & effective. Love that the blade can be adjusted to any micro length or made long. Love that blade lock is very strong keeping blade steady & secure that it can not slip. These knives take up less space in your tool bag / vest and bright color makes them easy to find. A seven segment blade is included but you will want to buy a pack of their black High Carbon Steel HBB replacement blades. OLFA also sells snap-off 'hook' blades & a wood saw blade that fit this knife.

Stop wasting money on the cheap stuff. Buy this instead. It's tuff, and with the blade(s) extended and locked in place, it can cut through four inches of fiberglass insulation like butter. Best value for the money, hands down.

Very good utility knife! I was an insulation engineer and used mine for years to cutinsulation.

I had to cut 50 one inch rubber mats for putting in my horse stalls. This was a life saver. Big so I have a good grip on it, can apply a lot of force without it making my palms hurt. The 25mm blade is nice and sturdy and has no risk of snapping. For heavy duty this is great. I have the other olfa knice with the automatic push to lock blade for quicker cuts, but it would not work as well for hard cuts as the blade tends to come out or push in if I push hard on it.

I work in general construction and have always loved a good work knife. This tool arrived as expected. Those with smaller fingers and Palms, especially ladies, avoid this knife as the handle will seem silly. This is my insulation knife but I have tested it by doing much more. The blade is held by the wheel mechanism with much strength, which for this tool is critically important. The grip is an added touch but this knife is not known for best in class ergonomics. (For that, buy a utility knife where the design shows that it is intended to fit the negative of a hand grip. That is, the shape of the handle is obviously made to be held tightly.). This knife is highly versatile, however, as the user possesses ultimate control of the blade length. That adjustment is the selling point for me, giving varied functionality to anyone’s task-related needs. Believe me when I say that the blade is held stronger than ANY other make/brand - you can have the thing extended way out and still can trust it’s strength, which gives stability and ultimately safety. Some believe that the snap-off blades give the user a sharp blade with more ease but for me it’s easier to change a conventional utility knife. The wheel mechanism is not as smooth as Olfa’s nicer snap-off knives, but for the price this is a winner. For the workshop, the car, the tool box or the junk drawer I’m going to recommend this knife to anyone who can wield it comfortably.

Love It... best snap blade utility knife out there. My only issue is I wish they made either reversable blade orientation version or "left handed" version. Never will like the lock knob facing palm of my left hand.

I've used a ton of different box cutters and the like. Finally decided to try this style and really impressed. Like being able to extend to any depth and have secure locking unlike others that have preset locking positions. Blades are strong and super sharp. No more carrying extra blades, I can just snap of the tip when needed, but these seem to hold an edge longer than the bulk standard razor blades.

Very good blade well constructed nice weight. The locking screw works well very happy with this product.

Don't hesitate. Buy this knife. I have been using these OLFA knives for years, based on a recommendation from Dad (decades ago). They are virtually indestructible. The blades last a LONG time and are extremely sharp. You can buy replacement blades almost anywhere. Once you try cutting difficult things with this knife, you will instantly say: "Where have YOU been all of my life!"
