Works great!
Great quality lock. Follow the installation steps exactly how they say when connecting to SmartThings. I had to redo the installation process to get it connected. Other than that it looks beautiful. The fingerprint recognition operates flawlessly.

Works great
Installing and set up was very easy. 15 minutes to Install lock and 10 minutes to link with yale app. and ring app. The reason for 4 stars is it only locks and unlocks through ring app. IT WILL NOT ARM & DISARM YOUR ALARM system. You need to create codes & fingerprint through yale app. Ring customer service told me it would lock and unlock my alarm before buying and after 3 hours on the phone with them uninstalling and reinstalling apps and devices. They found some information that the features im looking for that i was told it has are for future use. A wast of 3 hours with a Ring tech that had extremely basic knowledge. I already made 6 copies of key for family members so I guess ill keep it and wait for update that will probably never happen. As for now the fingerprint reader and passcodes work flawlessly for 4 adults and one teen.

Easy Install Lots of ways to unlock
Installation was straight forward. I really like all of the features to unlock (key, numeric code, fingerprint, app, z-wave). I also really like the geo-fencing auto-unlock. The door closed feature is interesting, but I have not yet truly utilized it. As a note; when adding the lock to a z-wave network, I removed the inside portion of the lock (detach the cable coming from the outside) and bring it close to your z-wave hub to ensure a good S2 inclusion.

Impossible to use (with Yale access app) for any "smart" integration
I am very very disappointed about the entire Yale system. It is impossible to use if you want any level of smart integration. First of all, the setup is fine but it takes forever to setup a single fingerprint. Furthermore the fingerprint access never work the first time (I constantly have to try 2-3 times to unlock). Then it comes to the Yale Access App, which is the worst app I've seen in years. I can't believe this kind of UX/UI experience still exist in the year of 2025. If you don't have the wifi module purchased (which will cause you extra $80 or something), then you have to be within 3ft with the lock to do anything. Even with that, the bluetooth connection takes like 15s to establish everytime you click a button. Everything is so slow with the system. The App itself is extremely non intuitive - it took me (an Engineering PhD) north of an hour trying to figure out how to set a passcode and add guest users and by the time I decided to return the product, I still haven't figured it out. Comparing to many other options (even with video doorbell and non-contact unlock integration), this lock is not worth the money. Overall, the product quality is not worthy of the brand name but upon research, Yale's name really come from traditional locks, not smart lock. So maybe that's not a surprise.

Randomly unlocks for no reason, rarely works with apps or integrations.
Glitchy hardware, bad app, weak integration. Day one, it had issues where it would just randomly unlock itself. Support said it can do that if the main cable that joins to two halves has too much pressure on it. Great for security reassurance, right? Push on the lock to put a little pressure on a cable and gain access to any house... yeah, already warm and fuzzy there. Took it all back apart, carefully realigned the precious little cable to make sure it had plenty of room to be safely floating around in there and couldn't touch anything and open the door to the world. And yet it still just randomly unlocks itself. What makes it even more fun, it generates absolutely zero log entry for when it happens too indicating a complete bypass of the security function that should keep track of lock and unlock events. App is useless too with this model. If you're not on the same network, you're not unlocking this door. So if you need to let someone in when you're not home, you better have setup a code for them before you left. Need to lock up after someone left? Not doing that either with their app. Integration with Ring is 50/50. Sometimes it will work, most of the time it doesn't. Ring sees it fine, sends the commands just fine, the lock just doesn't respond or acknowledge the request. Really would not recommend. Will never buy again. And will be replacing as soon as I'm ready to absorb the massive loss in money after buying two of these that I now have to go spend several more hundreds to get rid of. But at least I will know that my house will actually be locked and will stay locked when I actually think it is and won't have to worry about these opening my house to the world anymore.

Unmatched convenience
Love this product! Door unlocked as I walk up to it and automatically locks after 10 minutes. (both are programming options) Finger print biometric is great, and programmable code is also a good back up. This product is also keyed incase of a battery failure. I can unlock the door through HomeKit from anywhere, if necessary. Install was easy enough for a handy person. Took me a while to figure out some of the programming options, mainly how to program the code. Works great with Apple HomeKit which is the reason I chose this product to begin with.

Fingerprint feature stinks
Fingerprint feature works maybe half of the time. I bought this specifically for the fingerprint feature. It worked so poorly that I reset it and added fingerprint again, but no improvement. It gives you a few chances to retry, then locks out for a period of time, which is a good feature, unless it's you trying to get into your own house. I accidentally bought the non-touch option first and returned it for this one. That was a mistake.

NO MORE KEYS!!!
Best lock I have ever purchased. Wish I did this a long time ago. So easy to install and set up. The best part is you can set it up to auto lock so when you leave your house just walk away and it locks itself! Technology today!

This does NOT work in Australia. You cannot register it or operate it. Do NOT buy if you are in Australia. Check online reviews many have been caught out with this one.
