I'm really texture-sensitive in the morning when it comes to breakfast, on the weekends when I can take my time I can do a full breakfast but during the week before I go to work I want something fast to eat that isn't too heavy and still fuels my body. My biggest concern outside of texture was that these were going to be too sweet, which was another hard pass at breakfast for me. The bar is 6-7 bites, a little more dense than a brownie, the entire thing is sweet but not too sweet where it's overwhelming, and the sprinkles don't go falling off everywhere when I opened the bar. All in all I'd say it's a win especially for the price point which is $10 when I'm writing this.

I have been eating these protein bars for months. They taste just like birthday cake. I wish they would make a new flavor. The candy bar ones taste just like a candy bar. I don't care for lemon and am getting tired of Birthday cake. Do not drop the coating on your clothes and try to wipe it off. It will smear. Also pick it off before it melts into your clothes. They taste better at room temperature. They get a little hard and chewy if they are cold. I tried the strawberry but didn't have much strawberry flavor. Try them I think you will like them.

I believe that the reviews for ALL of the flavors are lumped in here together. Therefore, I'll try to break down the flavors I have tried so far. Note that flavor is, of course, unique to each person, so your experience and pleasure may vary. I also have some dental issues I can't get help with, so my experience will vary from someone with a big ol' set of regular choppers, like say, Duane The Rock. I originally bought these bars because I thought I would be staying for about a week in a place where I couldn't get to meals very easily. I needed something to help keep my blood sugar steadier and not be a high carb food. Turned out to not need them for that, but still eat one (at least one) every day. BIRTHDAY CAKE: Oh my gosh, where have you been all my life? This satisfies my sweet tooth very much, and has a nice, cakey-texture. The only thing I do NOT like is the little ball-bearing-like candy beads on the top. They roll everywhere, get into the carpet, find every little dip in your teeth, etc. If they MUST put candies on the top, use the softer and longer jimmies, not these rock-hard little dudes. The box of six lasted two days. Just sayin'. Two thumbs up on this one. CHOCOLATE SALTED CARAMEL: Very tasty, and the name is very accurate. So accurate, in fact, I probably will not buy them again. The salt is VERY pronounced. Too pronounced for me. It's okay, wouldn't turn one down, but also would not buy them again. CHOCOLATE DELUXE: This is my favorite so far, because I am a chocoholic. I like the texture of these bars, although I wish it was more like the birthday cake bars. A little softer would be nice. But overall, I will definitely buy this flavor again. MAPLE CARAMEL: I only ordered this one because I got a good price and thought "why not". I actually like this very much. I was surprised. The maple flavoring? Well, if I had not read the label, I would not have thought it was a maple bar. It could use a little boost in flavoring, PP manufacturers! The white coating is tasty too. It is almost like having a Snickers bar without the peanuts and with white chocolate. I love the caramel in this bar as well. Again, more maple please. CHEWY CHOCOLATE CHIP: This is not bad either. I'd venture to say exactly what you would expect by the name. Nothing to write home about, certainly not bad, just wouldn't order them on purpose again. Those are all the flavors I have tried so far. If the company wants to send me a few more to try, I'll happily review them! I'll "suffer" and eat other combinations. It would be wise of the manufacturers to consider making a bigger variety pack, one with one of each flavor in the box. It would definitely be a way to try out more flavors without breaking the bank, and could win them lifelong customers. Hint Hint. Wink wink, nudge nudge. Overall, I find the macros good enough for me, but not everyone might like them. Each flavor varies, so be sure to look it up for yourself, if you are doing a very strict keto or low carb diet and want to track everything. I'm a loose-low-carber right now, and these bars help me meet my daily protein needs. I'll continue to buy this brand. I'm very happy with the taste of the bars and the macros they offer.

I bought this to try for a different flavor and I love birthday cake. However, I was disappointed in the flavor of these. The protein taste overpowered any other flavor. The consistency was good, but very dense. These would have been better if the flavor had been more like birthday cake. The value for the money was pretty good.

Packaging? Check. Expiry date? Check. But when it comes to the taste? The T A S T E. I will handily tell you that I have been bamboozled, hoodwinked, led astray, run amuck, and flat out deceived by this protein bar. It doesn't resemble anything close to the joyful and celebratory taste of a birthday cake. I know protein bars aren't supposed to be the most flavorful snack but this takes the cake! It tastes like chalky stale cake batter that's been sitting on the counter overnight. It looks better than it tastes and that's where the heartbreak begins. I'm about as hurt as when I didn't get that Air Hogs plane for my 6th birthday. I'm about as hurt as when your relatives bring a baby too close to your birthday cake and the baby sneezes on the cake and everyone laughs because it's "cute" but you really want to suplex that baby through a table because you really wanted cake. If divorce had a taste I bet this would be it. This is probably what Pennywise makes you eat after he captures you. If this is what birthday cake is supposed to taste like then cancel your plans because this is not it, my guy.
