The battery you didn’t know you needed!
This is a great addition to your ronin gimbal! I’ve been using this battery for several months now and I can’t go back to a smaller one. You get better handling with the longer grip my opinion and longer battery life. I’ve done jobs where i went all day with this battery!

Long Events Are No Problem With This Extra Capacity!
I needed extra battery capacity for my DJI Ronin 2. These fit the bill and extended the time that our camera operators had to roam the floors looking for the perfect shots. Although it's a bigger grip, the extra real estate is helpful for additional control and there are many accessories that are ready made to extend use.

More comfortable than the standard one
The battery lasts forever (it's also charging the RavenEye). I can hold it with both hands, without relying on the flimsy stand extension. The old (standard) grip is now collecting dust.

Power to Spare: A Must-Have Upgrade for Heavy DJI Ronin RS 4 Pro Setups
Summary: The DJI RS BG70 High-Capacity Battery Grip is a solid upgrade for filmmakers using power-hungry setups on the Ronin RS 4 Pro. While it adds some bulk, it delivers extended runtime, a more substantial grip, and potential for powering accessories via USB-C. A dead-on-arrival battery was a minor hiccup, but overall, this is a professional-grade addition worth considering. Why I Chose this Product: I purchased the BG70 to supplement the default battery on my DJI Ronin RS 4 Pro, especially since my rig includes nearly 10 lbs. of camera gear, the DJI Focus Pro LiDAR, and lens motors. (see photo) Even during basic balance and focus tests, I noticed the default battery draining quickly—raising concerns about power longevity during full-day shoots, so I clipped on a v-mount battery, massively increasing the weight (see photo). The BG70 offers me the possibility for peace of mind with its higher capacity, reducing the need for frequent battery swaps or external V-Mount solutions. Build Quality and Design: As expected from DJI, the build quality is excellent. The grip features the same rubberized texture as the default handle, ensuring a secure hold. It’s roughly twice the length of the standard grip, which adds some weight and length to the rig but also provides a more comfortable and stable grip during handheld operation. Charging and Power Features: The battery arrived completely discharged—unusual, but not a dealbreaker. After charging, it locked into the Ronin handle securely and functioned as expected. A standout feature is the USB-C port, which is advertised to power additional accessories. I haven’t tested this yet, but it could be a game-changer for powering monitors or transmitters directly from the grip. If I can update this review after further testing, I will do so. Mounting Options: An added bonus is the inclusion of a 3/8" mounting thread alongside the standard 1/4", offering more weight bearing flexibility, even perhaps I can consider mounting my gimbal upside down on a Jib.

The 29 hour duration is false.
I bought it thinking about the long lifespan the product is advertised as. I tested it in my studio, and without doing any gym ball movements, just keeping it on, this grip lasts more than nine to 11 hours—far from the 29 hours the brand claims. I communicated with the salespeople, explaining to them; they were very kind to me, but they never really addressed my concerns.

Also, dass Ding ist schon riesig, im Vergleich zum Standardgriff. Das Aufladen über Schnellladen dauert tatsächlich 2,5h. Über normales USB würde ich ca. 10h annehmen...eine Ewigkeit.

If you find yourself having to charge your smaller BG21 in the car in-between locations or whilst on a break between events, this is a must have. Yes its heavier, but filming with this, i now no longer need to worry about charging this throughout a day of filming. It claims up to 29 hours of battery life, however, take note this also depends on how hard the motors are working. The fact it is twice the size of the BG21 is great as it allows for dual handed grip. Pair that with an extension pole and you're set for high overcrowd shots. Price vs Use - no brainer!
