Fantastic Fun Game. DLC maps are great.
I've heard the problem players had with the game was TTK being so fast and health regeneration being so slow, along with the default maps not being good at all. If you go into options you can set default health at double and regeneration to fast. Download the maps from the DLC pack and you've got hours and hours of repeatable fun and endless options. The sheer amount of options is enormous, lets say you're tired of getting one shotted by shotguns? turn all shotguns off. Tired of getting sniped? turn off restrict all sniper rifles. You can restric certain loadouts, perks, barrels, sights, just about anything. I've played on local games and local multiplayer versus AI bots even on veteran difficulty and also playing squads. Yes the game is difficult and yes the AI is so good it can be very frustrating. Squads is where the game really shines, build your squad, customize everything about them and bring them into battle. The DLC maps are so much better than most of the regular maps. These are some of the smartest AI bots I've fought against in a game. Playing Modern Warfare remastered while a great game your gun choices, perk choices and options are very limited. IMO the multiplayer and squad aspect of team deathmath, free for all, etc blows those idiotic AI bots in black ops 3 right out of the water. I skipped the campaign portion of this game. As for the DLC? choose your DLC carefully, some is worth it, some is not. The standout dlc maps are Bayview, Fog,Ignition,Unearthed, Collision, Departed (for sure maybe even one of the best dlc maps) I think maybe people disliked this game because of the difficult aspect of it and the low TTK timing. I've been shot and killed so many times without even be able to get off a shot back or even turn around. This game is notorious and infamous for getting shot in the back I kid you not I think it might even be programmed into the game that when you fire off shots or kill an enemy the AI comes to your exact location ASAP right up behind you, shoot you in the back and kill you without you ever even hearing them. (which is why the amplify perks is so important)Keep in mind the AI bots hear everything even from across the map you'd think you were an elephant to them, so dead silence as well. It's just too bad you can't turn off the dam music, if the could patch that? that would be fantastic. The other reason I think people may not like the game especially versus the AI is the AI has X ray vision can shoot and kill you without actual line of sight (like seeing thru walls or cover that you can't. The AI can spot you, even if you can't spot them. I can't write a review about online gameplay with ghosts since I haven't played any of the cod titles online only local/lan. FFA with 17 bots is just total fun insanity. Its also extremely fun to try and find the best combinations of loadouts, perks, etc it really is a lot of trial and error and different combos for different maps.

Another great Call of Duty game
I'm a big Call of Duty fan. My first game into the series was Modern Warfare 2 and ever since then I've been hooked. I've played both MW games and both BO games and I've always been partial to the MW series, so when this game came out I was hoping it played more like a MW game than a BO game. Well it seems this game is a good blend of both. It has the strike packages that I LOVED from MW3, but has a BO feel to the game play. I do love how there are more places to catch your breath. What I mean by that is that on BO games I feel they have taken away any places to hide for a few seconds. It always seemed like you were in the line of sight of someone no matter where you were, but on Ghost's there are plenty of places to retreat too after surviving a fun gun fight. This game does a great job of deterring camping too with some of the perks and streaks that will showcase those guys hiding in corners. All in all if you have been a fan of the COD series the past few years then this is for you. It's familiar enough to be able to pick right up and have a good time, but different enough to keep you on your toes figuring out which perks and guns fit your play style. If you're looking for a night and day different COD game then keep wishing. I'm glad they keep with what works. If you want a different game then try BF4 or KZ, but if you like smooth game play and a familiar system then stick with Ghosts. Great game.

Underrated Call Of Duty game!
This is definitely a very underrated game! I know saying that you like Call of Duty today will get you a funny look from the gaming community. I think we have to remember at one time Call of Duty has some very great games and this is one of them before the Call of Duty hate train started. I will say that the only negative thing I can say about this game is it feel like a greatest hits compilation. It just feel like they took from the modern warfare games and Black ops games then just mix them together. I'm not saying that's a bad thing I'm just saying it it just feel like they could have been more original and it left everything on a cliffhanger with no payoff. As writing this review there hasn't been taught for sequel to this game just hearsay for now. The game is fun and it's definitely worth a buy. I highly recommend this game and it gets a thumbs up from KT The Thumbs Up Guy 👍🏽

My favorite Call of Duty, bar none.
I loved it on the PS3, but the PS4 version in parts feels like a totally different game... and in a good way. The level of detail and design is terrific and really does ruin the game on any other platform. The soundtrack was terrific, and voice acting damned good, and the graphic overhaul of the weapons and reticles is first rate. The campaign itself may be a bit polarizing for some people, but I absolutely adored this game, campaign and multiplayer alike. And squads??? How did this not catch on??? All of the fun of multiplayer with non of the obnoxious players and their scrub tactics. That, for me, was a real win-win. Of course the operations and real XP are in multiplayer, and for that you have to go online and swim with the scrubs. And of course that means you'll have to deal with some dimwit sitting in a corner with an M27 or Kastet just waiting for you to happen by, but that's the price you pay I suppose? At any rate, this game introduced enough joy (Guard Dog, Maniac, Marksman Rifles) that I am sure it will age well and be appreciated by those who don't need to Exo boost around a map to feel like they are accomplishing something. I hope there will be a Ghosts 2 and I hope it is made in the same vein as this one, soundtrack and all, because this one is just a joy to behold.

Not groundbreaking, but at least it works - something Battlefield 4 can't say.
I've been playing Call of Duty ever since the first version on PC years ago, and Call of Duty: Ghosts continues the tradition with familiarity. It may not be "ground breaking" anymore like Modern Warfare was, and some may accuse it of being "last year's game with this years twist" but after putting in some hours behind the controller, I'm actually happy that part of it is. Single player campaign brings a short, almost convoluted story as the backdrop to explain the situations and environments you'll encounter. The backstory behind the "Ghosts" is quick and dirty, a nice way to define their origin without wasting time. The story was written by the same guy who won an Oscar for writing the movie "Traffic" and it actually flows well from beginning to end - unlike "Call of Duty: Black Ops II" which was a little fragmented. Gameplay is refined from previous games, almost to the point that you might not notice subtle changes because it all feels very familiar for anyone who's played a game in the franchise previously. I didn't encounter any weird glitching or bugs playing on "veteran" mode (which doesn't give as many environment prompts) and I never experience points in the game where I was totally lost as to what to do next. Oh, and this time around you get to play a dog for some missions. Interesting? a little. But it's just another short-time fun-type experience, kind of like when you have to parachute or something else within the single player game. Aside from that, sure - it's linear gameplay - but for games like this, the single player campaign is usually used as a "refresher" for when you jump onto the multiplayer online mode. As far as Online multiplayer mode goes, it's also nothing groundbreaking, but very refined. The menu system for perks and upgrades are redone, but in my opinion much more streamlined and easy to use. For example, instead of having multiple paged menus to check/activate perks, this time around all of the perks are on one screen in a grid for easy referencing and selection. The same goes for weapons and all of the various attachments - the menus for certain things have been combined onto single-page grids, making it faster and easier to get your loadout setup the way you want it. You can also use the accompanying smartphone app to change not only your player appearance, but also your weapons loadout on the fly. I've tried this a couple of times, I'd get into a game and realize that one of my perks or equipment was not an ideal choice, and I could jump onto the app to change loadouts and the new setup would be pushed to the PS4 seamlessly DURING the game, not in between. Pretty useful when you're learning the new perks/equipment. Another plus is "PS Plus" - because online multiplayer is now only available through a paid PS Plus account, the type of people in the lobbies aren't as "hostile" as it was with the PS3, where anyone could make a generic account and get into the online game just to annoy others. There are still some internet gangsters playing, but not as much since every new gaming account requires a PS Plus account. The game as a whole initially gets a 3-star rating for me, because it's not bad, not awesome - but more like "familiar and comfortable to play". However, I'm adding an extra star simply because it works as promised and expected. At launch I bought both this and Battlefield 4, and Battlefield 4 turned out to be really, really BAD (see my review for that game). These two are competing head to head as launch game FPS shooters, and because Call of Duty: Ghosts feels more polished and doesn't suffer from the numerous glitches and bugs and issues that Battlefield 4 is, i give it one extra star. I spend $60 - I want a game that works, not a game that "should be better after a few patches later on" like Battlefield unfortunately has become. My reviews of both games are based on what the are right now, not what they might be a couple of months down the line. I was excited for both as I have played both franchises over the years, but Battlefield 4 was so bad that COD:G's offering, though not groundbreaking, is more attractive because it doesn't come with the frustration that playing BF4 causes. So if you were debating on COD:G vs. BF4 (or buying both) for your newly purchased Playstation 4, my advice is to get COD:G and spend the money you'd use for BF4 on something else.

This is a really fun game.
Definately NOT for children or you mental kids. You know if you're child is showing signs or are uncontrollably violent. This is a Game, but everything leaves an impact. If yu are not mature enough to understand that this "GAME" is violent and depicts the worst things about war and combat then stick to "Angry Birds" because it's not for you or your child. I am very much Adult well past 40 years old and still see this as a very violent game. There is no question that it is. I play it to let off steam and know full well the difference between a game and reality. Unfortunately there are too many who can't. Look at reality TV or the cult of personality that is driving your children nuts. IF you are mature enough to "Turn it off" after the game ends then this one is for you. It's a reallt great game for unwinding while on your tip toes, if that's possible to understand. I recomend it to all MATURE people who like this sort of game.

Worst COD Game Ever!
Where do I start? Although I'm more of a Battlefeild guy, I still enjoy the Call Of Duty series unlike the one track minded fanboys of both respective titles. Therefore, I won't be giving you a biased review like some who haven't even played the game. Let's get the campaign mode out of the way... Could this possibly be the worst campaign of any game? Probably not, but the way each mission ends so abruptly feels like it was rushed and the developers just didn't give a damn. All in all, it's just more of the same. If you've played every other COD, Ghosts will feel more than familiar. Not only are a lot of the action set pieces identical, but you feel like you've played this game before. I also wish they'd stop trying to do sci-fi. Just with the present era or a few years forward. The future warfare crap just doesn't appeal to me and obviously, they can't seem to let go of it judging by the next installment in the series. One more thing... the dog is supposed to be this new innovative addition to the series. Well, it's not. You rarely use him and honestly, I'm okay with that. As for the Multiplayer, the only thing that has going for it is the costumization of your character. Nice touch there. But your selection of weapons is crap, limited and very unbalanced. Thank god there's no target finder, but there's something else that sort of replaces it as far as the accessory of b!tches is concerned. The maps are horrible save for maybe one and the game modes don't really offer anything new. Once again, COD's multiplayer takes the crown of cheater friendly and safe haven for hackers. When someone racks up 101 kills and only 1 death...

Excellent as always!
Really fast shipping with one day shipping. Ordered around 10pm and received the game just before noon the next day. Haven't had a chance to play it yet. Waiting for my ps4 to arrive tomorrow. Can't be disappointed it's COD!! Heard positive things about it, looking forward to playing it. So basically the game itself is pretty fun. If you like COD then no doubt this is a must have if you want to play it on a PS4, seeing as it is the only one available at the time. Overall an improvement from previous gens. Game is pretty similar to other COD games. If you are looking for something that is the top of the line graphics then maybe go with a different game. If you want the newest version of COD and have enjoyed their games in the past then you know what to expect. I am happy and probably will stick with only one COD game for the PS4 until they make some drastic changes to the game where it's completely different from GHOST. Don't feel like paying for almost the same game with minor changes to it every year or so. Will instead explore other games and put the money towards that.
