Wiltshire: A Dog Walker's Guide - 20 Countryside Dog Walks with Lots of Off-Lead Time

my husband had this book as a gift when he retired and we got a dog, unfortunately the first time we used it, it poured with rain and it got ruined so I had to buy a replacement (and a waterproof map case to put it in !) Anyway we have done several of the walks and they are really good, the directions are very easy to follow and there's loads of useful information about where to park, the terrain of the walk and the dog friendliness of any nearby pubs.The walks are circular which makes them more interesting, we liked it so much we have bought the lake district one for our forthcoming hols

Love these dog walking guides- there's a whole host of locations and I always look to see if there's one covering an area when we go on holiday with the dogs. Clear routes, good descriptions and maximised for off lead walks with minimum livestock, although any stiles or livestock fields are highlighted. Also info on nearest pub and vet! Great book with some walks off the beaten track so even a long time dog owner like myself find new areas to tramp!

Already done 4 of the walks. The book is great. And the areas for walking have led us to other walks in the areas; variants of the book walk.The only thing is that it is in miles and yards, and I’m a kilometre person! But, instructions are clear. Haven’t got lost yet!Our dog is super happy. Lots of no leash areas.

For the most part this is a good book. We've just done 3 of the walks. Our only issue was usually finding where to park as the instructions aren't great on getting there/starting point. After that it was fine. I'd suggest an update with postcodes to start and updated descriptions.

I must really like this book as I've lost two of them and each time I have gone out and replaced it.I love the fact that it takes me on walks I just wouldn't know existed. Many have wonderful views across Wiltshire.

This book is great !! So much info and so much variety in the walks going to work our way through them all I think......love it

Good book for a new person to the area, in combination with the ordinance survey map it is just what I wanted. Good buy!
