These brackets were just what my husband needed to create a fold-down countertop by the stove since we have no work area there without it. Thanks to the brackets, his creation is easy to put up when needed and to fold down when it isn't being used. We didn't want anything with a base since that is the only space for the dogs' water bowl. But we needed something strong enough to hold utensils and dishes. The brackets give the shelf good support. Other reviewers complained that the brackets were hard to install, but my husband found that having a 6" bit and/or an extension for your drill does the trick. A 90-degree adapter would also be helpful.

The media could not be loaded.  Let me begin by saying I am a professional builder with 20 years of experience... They do hold the countertop up and allow it to fold down. However, there is a lot of wobble and vertical play while in the up position. That movement causes unstability and an unlevel work surface.Also, your corners must be perfectly square (which almost never happens in construction) for the folding of the top to be successful without having to cut lengths off of the top to allow for the fold.If you look at the pics and video, you will see that I had to cut a 1/2" gap at the end of the top to allow for the fold down. Not necessarily the bracket's fault but should be notated as something to keep in mind when purchasing. There is also a lot of lift (expected) but also a lot of downward movement from weight placed on the top. And it doesn't take alot of weight to create the movement.I would recommend a different approach.

the first thing i did once i open the packaging was put a square on it... WOW... it was off by more than ⅛" on one and between ¼"... i'm in a bit of a rush so i will keep them and shim them square but this is really unacceptable...it seems to be sturdy enough and it is very easy to open and close (at least unassembled...not attached to the wall or shelf)

These brackets arrived in packaging littered with Chinese lettering - no English on the box whatsoever. The brackets seemed worn and used and there was a lot of play in the bracket, causing me to doubt the quality and strength of it. They were light and easy to bend, but I did not install these - I immediately returned them and purchased the Ultrawall Shelf Brackets for twice the price which are obviously much better made when you take them out of the box. I'm sure these brackets would do the job for a light shelf, but I would not trust them for a desk or other heavy/expensive item.

Bought 2 sets of these to do matching simple floating wall mount computer desks in both my sons rooms and these worked great! Easy install and plenty sturdy for our use!Great value for the price as well. Would recommend

Nice idea works well for a small folding table in my van camper conversion. Minus a star because the joints on this are very sloppy,i went and bought mini circlips to fit at all the joints to help tighten it up some what, then added duct tape to mating edges to create a snug fit, works great now.

These are really heavy duty shelves. They come with three holes on the wall side and three holes on the top to attach the shelf. They lock in place and have a quick, easy release. It would be great if you can fix them in a stud, which didn't work out for me in the laundry room, but I used toggle bolts and they seem to be working well. Highly recommend!

These brackets are fantastic for custom shelves or table surfaces that need to be out of the way when not in use. They are sturdy and the release mechanism is easy to actuate. They came with all the necessary hardware for installation.
