The service tank on certain Epson printers holds the waste ink from printing. As it is so infrequently changed, it may come as a surprise when the printer demands a new one as the old one is full. These are a pair of new tanks. At present rates of usage, it will be 2030 before I have to use the second one, so the spare has been carefully labelled and stored with the printer supplies. There are instructions for installing the tank, which are straighforward to follow, but always remember to switch off the electricity to a printer when working on it. There is no danger, but better safe than sorry. Following the instructions, find the service tank cover and carefully unscrew the single screw holding it in place, Do not lose the screw; put it safe. It has to come right out. Then gently wiggle off the service cover, a small moulded plastic plate. Lift out the waste tank by the handle and have some scrap paper or a bag to put it in; it is full of printer ink and inclined to ooze. Slide in the new tank, replace the cover, screw it down, replace any service flaps and cover. Switch back on. The printer does the rest, checking its tank and inks. Dispose of the old tank carefully. My local recycling centre has a special bin for printer cartridges and tanks.

Arrived on time, worked first time

At first was worried these wouldn't work, what with printer manufacturer putting chips on everything & complaining they're not genuine - some manufacturers even prevent printer from working - but even though these have contacts on them, it looks like no chip so no problem.. opening my printer to swap them over was easy (no instructions so looked up a YouTube video) & swapping wasn't a major problem... Although reinserting the new one was a little tight, a small wiggle eventually got it in. So far no msgs are popping up & printer works
