Place, not swipe!
BEWARE, READ UPDATE BELOW! So far so good. I think it is important to note that this is not a swipe fingerprint scanner, you pick up your finger and just place it down on the reader for this one. I had some trouble at first because I did not realize that and was swiping and it was have a lot of trouble. Once I started just placing my finger, it has worked pretty much every time with the occasional misread (maybe once or twice in a week of heavy computer use). For the price, I would say it is pretty solid.I tried really hard to like this thing. It worked reasonably well at first, but the performance has degraded quickly to the point where the product is no longer usable. Of course it happened outside the refund period so they will be able to steal my money.

Very basic and limited - Don't Recomend
First the positives: arrived quickly and directions were acceptable, fairly easy to setupNegatives: The drivers did not load automatically at first on either Windows 10 or Windows 11 machines (tried 4 two of each), in all cases it required going to windows update and getting optional drivers after a bit of time.Next issue is that the fingerprint reader will read only perfect slides through reader, windows hello required PIN before successfully reading fingerprint (because of multiple failures) most time. The only success was holding the reader with two other fingers to have a consistent read.I am returning, recommend people buy a better product from a known brand.

Works great windows 10 and 11 plug and play
Honestly I don't know what anyone is talking a about.Systems tested: Windows 10 and 11 machines. Both were plug and play without issue and windows hello recognized the device right away.My only complaint is the device itself is a bit light and I might add some weight to the base to hold it down.

Doesn't work long term.
It worked well for about six months. setup was easy. But then it just stopped working. I had to back to using the keyboard and enter my PIN.

Definitely makes the Windows log-in process much easier and faster.
Logging in is much faster and easier. Sometimes, it doesn't recognize the fingerprints, but then Windows reverts to using a PIN. The device certainly is a timesaver for the majority of logins. It had a quick and easy set-up and began working immediately after I programmed in the fingerprints.

Very intermittent scans
Fails to read fingerprint into windows 11 hello. May have to try it 10 times or more. Had trouble inputting my fingerprint into the windows biometric database. It would only detect a line or two on each attempt.

Works as advertised, no issues
Plug and play - may take a second for your PC to recognize the scanner (check device manager and drivers). Still plugged in and working on my PC months after purchase for daily login use

Not Recommended
Works intermintently. Windows rejects it frequently. Some apps accept it regularly.
