An excellent choice for Gunpla enthusiasts and general fans of plastic model kits. The Flawless Lacquer gloss is an outstanding undercoat to lay down prior to panel lining. It levels well, dries crystal clear, and is chemically inert enough not to damage any paints that you may have used prior, or make bare plastic brittle. The Satin and Matte are outstanding final topcoats for finishing your model. I've applied this over various sorts of acrylic, enamel, oil, and lacquer products with similarly outstanding results. Dollar-for-Dollar its the absolute best value when compared to other specialty clear-coat products offered by model-specific companies (Mr. Hobby, Armybuilder, Tamiya, etc).

I bought this product for work on my GW Dark Angels Army that I am currently working on and have been very satisfied with the end result. I do use another clear matte finish designed for miniatures, but I had been looking for another clear matte finish that would protect my miniatures as much as possible from damage. This is important since it takes a great deal time and effort for just one miniature. In the end, this produced the effect that I needed and the protection to keep the paint from chipping. I am very satisfied and will purchase this again when I need to.

Beautiful finish without a doubt! Just one issue ... test spray it on what your are covering! I had an adverse effect on the first thing I sprayed causing the paint to bubble and crack. I contacted the company of the lacquer and also the company of the paint that I was covering with the lacquer. The Polar Clear people were extremely helpful. Through their information and some tests that I conducted on my own I found out that the solvents in some of the colors of spray paint that I was covering with the lacquer did not work together no matter how long the cure time was and the problems were spotty. I found that certain other ones were not affected at all, so now I have a solution that fixes the issues. Definitely a good product if you want a really nice high gloss finish.

I used this on a $1900 mahogany exterior door that had to be restained due to sun damage. At first, I was very worried about how it comes out of the can. It is like a mist, and much of it blew away; however, after spraying it a few inches from the door, I really liked it. It lays down really smooth, without running or pooling. I used three cans on a 36" door. I had intended to sand with steel wool between coats; and did sand after the second coat, but I don't think it was necessary. This lays down really nice, and looks great! I am buying more now, to do a set of mahogany French Doors.

Not as matte as I was looking for but did the job.

This product is the best I've found. Delivered promptly and it is as described. Not a strong smell like others.

Sprays nicely and dries fast. I ordered Matte but it seems to be gloss or semi gloss.

I wanted a high gloss finish on a wood carving I made for my grandson. The wood was Bolivian rosewood. The carving was sanded to 800 grit sand paper and heavily burnished to close the wood grain as this was considered an oily wood. This lacquer was easy to apply and layered well. It did not get gummy or cloudy. I applied three layers and use the light touch of 0000 steel wool to rub out a few dust flecks and localized minor imperfections - not on the entire piece. I achieved a nice high gloss finish at the end. Happy with this product and will continue to use it.

Ich benötigte eine Versiegelung, um gelaserte Schiefer-Untersetzer etwas robuster zu machen und fand den glänzenden Standard-Klarlack nicht passend, da er den Charakter der Schieferplatte zerstört, also hab ich mich an dieses Spray getraut und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Die Untersetzer sehen wirklich toll aus, sind unempfindlicher und verlieren ihren Charm nicht. Klar, der Preis könnte ein wenig geringer sein, aber immerhin komm ich bei nur einer Schicht pro Untersetzer recht weit mit einer Dose. Für mich passt es also und ich kaufe sie sicher wieder!

This laquer is very easy to use. I bought 2 cans and used it to laquer an oak bannister rail. I sprayed it onto the bare wood and it covered really well. I gave it 4 coats, but one of the cans was faulty and I couldn't get it to stop spraying so wasted nearly half a can. The bannister looked great when I'd finished, although the satin finish was more of a gloss. Although it dried quickly (touch dry in about 30 mins) it seems to take a long time for the laquer to harden. I had to leave the rail for 2 days before I could handle it without leaving finger marks in the laquer. In future I'll leave it longer between coats and see if that helps.

It seems to cover well but cannot say how well it will last over the summer out in all weather ! I've used it to protect metal garden ornaments to stop rusting
