The operation of the unit is quiet and smooth in its pan/tilt/sweep transitions. The documentation is limited to an extensive set of tables defining all of the operation modes and DMX512 settings available. There is no real user manual, so if you are not familiar with using lighting instruments of this type, you have a lot of learning and experimentation to do before you can obtain all this fixture has to offer. I was quite impressed (and also a little bit intimidated) by the vast array of features and commands this unit has to offer... way more than can be covered in this review. I am going to have to sit down with this unit, fire up my DMX Controller, and manually step through each and every one of the dozens and dozens of parameters in order to fully appreciate the power and depth of this product. My current lighting rig features 4 moving head fixtures mounted on truss totems in the corners. I plan to incorporate this unit overhead in the center as a featured effect unit. I also have dozens of other wash, chase, and effects fixtures to supplement the entire rig, but I believe this unit is going to make a great centerpiece. Once I fully understand all of the features of this fixture and get it integrated into the lighting rig, I will come back at some point in the future and update this review with videos so that you can fully appreciate this unit. Review: Useful and great value - These may not be the biggest and fanciest lights out there but they make a big impact with useful patterns and configurations. At this price point, you can get a few of them to quickly boost your light show without blowing the budget.
