I read this on my flight out to SF last year and it was the best way to prepare for the adventure that is San Francisco. Even Karl, the SF fog, became a friend as I learned about this magical city through the eyes of the locals that have made it the wonder that it is today.

The Wildsam team did a fantastic job with this guidebook. San Francisco can seem overwhelming when trying to plan a visit, but this guide helped me to not only know where to go but gain a deeper understanding of the City and all it has to offer. Highly recommend. Unique guide with hand-drawn illustrations and neat facts about the city and its locals. Loved the map of where the chefs eat in town - such a cool, live-like-a-local approach to a travel guide.

This is a small book that packs a huge punch when traveling. Background on the neighborhoods, insight into the history of the city, as well as tips on some lesser known destinations. Highly recommended.

Love Wildsam! a wonder to read for a first time visitor or a long time san franciscan the same. i have one that i keep on my coffee table and everyone is always quick to grab and flip through it's pages.
