Works exactly as advertised. Install was very easy. Waterproof charging plug was a perfect fit for the camera. Charges the battery surprisingly quickly.

The rechargeable battery in my SimpliSafe system camera required that I get the ladder and climb up to the camera every 4 to 6 weeks, remove the battery and recharge it. This solar panel has solved that problem completely. I've had it for a couple months now and the battery always indicates 100%. I didn't need the mount that came with the panel, as I just laid it flat on the roof of my patio cover and plugged it into the camera mounted under the cover. I held it in place with a dab of silicone. It began working immediately. Time will tell how long it lasts. BTW - living in the S.W. we get lots of sun and little rain - so perfect conditions for this device.

The Good: -Installed easily (with the proper drill and screwdriver) -Connected to camera easily -Powers camera effectively. -The product works fine and, I would say, even better functionally than I expected. -It appears to keep the camera at 100% charged even on cloudy days. The Not so Good: -The power cable is 13 ft long. That may be okay for some people. But for me, it was way WAY too long. I didn’t even have to unroll it to connect it to my camera. In my case, 1 ft would have been sufficient. To be fair, the Amazon product description does specify the cord length. But I guess I didn’t really realize how much extra cord that turns out to be by the the way it is packaged. It would be great if there was an option for a shorter cord or had some type of mechanism to customize (retract or extend) the length as needed. In my case, I left my cord rolled up (with the twist tie as it comes) and taped the excess to the back of the panel to keep it out of plain sight. So, overall 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars with an adjustable cord length.

It works perfectly with my Simplisafe camera. Our camera faces our front door, so the motion detection drains the batter pretty fast. So this was the perfect solution! It's not in direct sunlight all day, but the few hours of charge it gives is perfect to keep the battery up since the battery already holds a good charge. It was easy to mount, and it holds up well even in bad weather.

I appreciate the low price, since I needed two. Easy install, good silicone seal for camera connection, seem durable, thin bezel for lower profile look, work well even when not in direct sunlight. One in back (east) and one in front (west). Morning sun gives east full-power, midday gives both full power, and afternoon gives west full power. The power can be seen as a lightning bolt in the battery indicator for the camera (in the app). When the lightning bolt shows, the camera is in performance mode (where it responds quicker to recording motion or to live viewing). Plenty of cable, which is easy to tuck behind the panel and zip tie.
