Easy one-man install… if you have the right tools.
I installed this myself with the help of a few very necessary tools in order to pull it off. I’m a lanky skinny guy and do not have a lot of upper body strength, so I do think anyone who is handy and well acclimated to being under a car and wrenching can do this on their own like I did. You don’t need a second person. A solo install can be easily done in an hour or so if you have jackstands, a hydraulic floor jack, a large enough pair of slip joint pliers to work exhaust mounts loose from hangers, and a pair of locking C-clamp welding pliers to push the exhaust hangers out of the shock mounts. The pliers can be bought dirt cheap at your local Harbor Freight if you don’t have them. Actually, everything needed for this install can be found there. Just use WD-40 on the rubber mounts and work them loose with the pliers. It’s not good to use WD-40 on rubber, but it’s the best stuff for this job. Leave the exhaust mounts on the car, don’t remove them with the exhaust. The new hitch blocks the two rearmost hangers, so you need to leave the rubber attached to them. Follow the carriage bolt installations as per the instructions. Dead simple. Tape the toothed concave washers to the hitch assembly to hold them in place so you can focus on the install. Next. Just get the hitch assembly up underneath the car, over the exhaust/behind the bumper and rest it on the two metal tabs where the plastic bumper rivet clips snap into, prop the jack stands under each side where the bolts go as high as you can get them, and then rest the receiver on your floor jack and start pumping it up. You can lay on your side underneath the car and guide the hitch holes towards their corresponding carriage bolts while pumping the floor jack up with your legs (sounds silly but it’s easy). The holes closest to the rear bumper will meet up with their carriage bolts first, and it’s very easy to get the nuts on. The magic part comes next. With both rearmost bolts connected, let out your floor jack slowly, and the entire hitch assembly will want to swing up under its own weight, pivoting on the two attached mounting bolts, pulling the other two mounting holes fully flush with the frame and their corresponding carriage bolts. It just holds itself there while you thread the nuts on, and after that, you’re home free. It does all the heavy lifting for you. I torqued all 4 to the spec outlined in the instructions, but then followed up with my impact wrench because I’d rather be “I’ll never be able to get this off” tight than perfectly to spec. Getting the rubber exhaust hangers back on at the very end was the only annoying part of the job. I needed more WD-40, and I was laying under the car pushing the exhaust tips around with my leg to make enough clearance while trying to get the hangers back into the rubber holes with my two free hands. They eventually went but it did fight me. Overall an easy and fun install. I’d never pay someone more than like $50 to do it for me knowing what I know now, but most places will charge you upwards of $200 for an install. You can do this by yourself with a surprising level of ease as long as you have the right tools. 5 stars. It’s a nice beefy unit.

Strudy, well built and fits like a glove.
So far it's been Great Hitch. I bought it to add bike carrying capabilities to our car. It's built well and seems to live up to it's Class rating which is overkill for carrying bikes but offers peace of mind knowing it won't fold under heavy loads. I installed this by myself and it was a bit of a process but not hard. I didn't have a second hand but I used a pair of jack stands to hold it close to the car as I slowly tilted and lifted it into place. Fishing the thread plates and bolts into the frame wasn't hard with the provided bolt fishing wires. I had never used anything like that before and I now have them if I ever need to do something simliar. Removing and re-installing the exhaust mounts was easy with some large adjustable pliers and some silicone lube spray. I used a tie strap to hang the exhaust and keep it from hanging to low. There are videos online that show the process. One small part of the bumper mask has to be removed for the hitch to fit but it's doesn't seem to bee too flimsy without that piece. Pretty happy with this product.

Great Hitch.
Very high quality. The Instruction are straight forward and very easy to follow. Installing it is very very hard if you don’t have a lift(%99 of don’t) I decided to bolt the hitch to my car jack. It made installing the hitch extremely easy. You just need long screws/bolts and large washers. Sorry for the horrible pictures.

Good bang for the $$
Solid unit. Bolt in. Highly recommended two people. And a lift makes it easier. Directions are decent but could be a bit better for someone who’s never done this. In all a quality unit.

It fits like a glove barley
READ BEFORE YOU BUY. IT FITS NICE AND CLOSE. This not a 1 man job! 2 person will struggle with it! You have to fish bolts through a hole down frame then into hole , carriage bolt with plate with square hole in it. Easy enough with the thread wires. Ok now’s it gets tougher , those 4wires need to go through holes in hitch while you’re holding this heavy hitch up. Now pull off fishing wire so you can install washer /nut. All without accidentally pushing the barely long enough bolt up inside frame! Now have to put hitch down to fish bolt back through hole too try again! Keeping in mind this hitch is almost a shoe horn fit !! On Mazda cx-5 OR YOU DO IT LIKE I DID BY MYSELF! Floor jack remove lifting plate off jack , long bolt and washer. Bolt it to the jack! It takes 2 hands to get washer/nut threaded on the barley long enough bolt that’s trying to slide up into frame. Good luck not easy 1 person job unless you’re really likening a challenge. I really like it now that it’s on.

Not compatible with 2022 CX5
Spent several hours trying to make it fit on my 2022 CX5 but is not compatible with that model as stated. It is supposed to have mounting holes on the side instead of!!

Perfect for Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring.
Very good fit and design. All the necessary hardware was included and my local mechanic was able to install it in under an hour, and i paid $178 to have it installed, because I don't recommend trying to install it yourself unless you have the necessary tools such as a hitch arm, and the right expertise. All in all, it's very sturdy, and doesn't protrude too much from my 2018 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring model, and didn't require removing any excess trim like some reviews suggested. The delivery was also super fast, compared to the similarly rated CURT receiver which I never received after ordering. The item is pretty heavy though, so expect a large box to be shipped to you. I used the hitch to install a bike rack, and it's very sturdy.

This product was exactly what I was hoping for. Well built and finished and came with great installation instructions. Great price price point compared to local suppliers ! Would definitely recommend to friends and family !

Installed on a 2018 Mazda CX-5. No issues and an easy install.. Took about 1hr and required a 2nd person to hold it in place while doing the nuts. One thing to note during the install. When taking off the rubber muffler mounts, use soap or water and only take off the muffler side and rotate them out if the way. If completely removed, when the hitch is installed, you have no clearance to reinstall.

It’s been a year since I purchased and installed the Draw-Tite Class III 2" Receiver Hitch on my 2021 Mazda CX-5. Overall, the installation went smoothly, but I had to buy a $10 wire that should have been included according to both the product description and the manual. This added about an extra hour to the installation, bringing the total time to roughly two hours. After a year of ownership, I still haven’t actually used the hitch, though I have bumped into it a few times. It shows only minor wear in the form of scratches and light surface rust, but nothing concerning.

It cam sooner than expected, but without a box. To my understanding, that's how DrawTile hitches are shipped. There were some places on the item that may need a touch-up, and a quick trip to Home Depot to get a black anti-rust paint sprayer helped. It's heavy, and would be best if you get additional hands to hold the hitch while installing. I got it on my own, after watching couple of Youtube installation guide. Make sure you have a torque wrench to fasten all the nuts to the recommended force leve. It fits great with my Mazda CX-5 2016 GS, and I already got a trailer to start hauling heavy stuffs. Very convenient for home renovation work.
