The Set That Converted Us to Alt-Bricks!
This Pantasy gumball machine was our very first premium alternative-brick set, and what an introduction! After years of Lego loyalty, and the occasional tinkering with cheap Make-It Blocks, my kids (all under 8) spotted this online and immediately fell in love—they even turned “Pantasy” into a little song they sang for days until it arrived. They knew about the official Lego gumball machine but passed on it instantly, even without really grasping the extreme price difference. They far preferred the classic retro styling of the Pantasy offering, and especially loved that this one comes with 12 adorable micro-build toys (the tank and airplane were instant hits) instead of standard Lego minifigures. Packaging was excellent, though you can tell it’s an earlier Pantasy set—the bags are numbered a bit unusually (multiple bags per step), which threw us off for the first few minutes until we caught on. The build itself felt “vintage” in the best way: lots of straightforward stacking early on had me momentarily worried about stability, but the later interlocking layers magically locked everything into a surprisingly sturdy structure. The silver-plated and printed pieces are absolutely standout—gorgeous detail that makes the metal sections look and feel premium! I kept telling the boys that I had never seen anything like this in all my years building standard Lego! My Lego-pro kids handled 95 % of the build themselves and truly earned the 6+ rating. The only tricky spot was the Technic-style dispenser that stumped even me for a minute, but figuring them out together turned into genuine family fun. Sliding on the crystal-clear globe was almost anticlimactic in its simplicity… until we saw the finished machine—pure childhood magic! The red lid is designed, either accidentally or intentionally, to stay loose for easy refills, which I didn’t care for; but my clever crew fixed that in seconds by adding two Lego 1x6 plates as clips. Excellent problem-solving! The micro-builds and hidden toy shop drawer were the undisputed highlights. I barely touched the tiny toys—the kids went all-in, building every airplane, tank, heart, penguin, lamp, firetruck, and other adorable curiosities with huge grins! They ignored the included fortune papers and instead stuffed the spare balls with candy and Lego minifig accessories, which has kept the machine in constant rotation ever since. Weeks later and it’s still fully assembled on proud display—the only brick set they’ve refused to dismantle mere hours after assembly! It’s elegant, perfectly sized, fully functional (yes, it takes Pantasy coins and dispenses beautifully almost every time), and 100% theirs! This one build single-handedly put multiple Pantasy and Lumibricks sets on their dreamboard and made us believers in the alt-brick world. If you’re on the fence, this is one of many great places to start. Highly recommended!

Best gift for 10 year old!
One of the best Christmas gifts we got for our 10 year old daughter! She spent most of Christmas Day assembling the entire gumball machine. The directions were very easy to follow with step by step instructions with pictures to follow along, just like LEGO brand provides for its sets. All of the pieces were prepackaged by steps, and it came with a handy tool to take apart and lock pieces together. Our daughter was able to complete almost the entire set on her own, with just some minor help from us. As we worked through building it, we noticed the cutest and clever special touches the gumball machine design had within its components. Like the animal club house that is built inside the gumball machine. Once finished, the gumball machine works completely like an actual gumball machine, with the turn lever actually moving to dispense an item down its chute. The kit came with prizes, instead of gumballs, which was another clever touch. Each prize is a miniature lego toy inside a plastic ball. We also bought gumballs, which can also be used inside the completed set, however, we found that the gumballs dispense better when placed individually within the plastic containers that were provided. This set was so much fun to build with my 10 year old daughter and she got so much joy out of the experience and also the use of it. I think it is totally worth the price, considering actual LEGO sets with this much intricacy are double the cost. And lastly, the completed set is very sturdy and well made.

Fun build
This was a fun build. Although these builds may not be as seamless as another big brand, their still went together well. This company has some fun and unique designs and I feel you really get a great value for your money, especially for the amount of pieces and size.

Awesome kit and very well priced! I first came across pantasy brand models with an Astro Boy kit from Costco. The fit and quality of the blocks and model are great and there are some ‘ surprises’ for the builder. The gumball machine is nice that it comes with refillable bubbles and a variety of inserts and ‘treasures’. Well thought out model.

The LEGO set is already built, but some pieces are loose. I tend to be quite particular about details, so it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. However, my children really enjoy it, so I’ve decided to keep it and not return it.

My son loves lego and PANTASY have a great selection of unique build that's different than Lego. Took as maybe 3-4 few hours session to complete. Just becareful to not press the buttons too hard as it might break (had to open the button block up to fix)
