Best Bang For Your Buck
I purchased this DAP to play FLAC files in lossless format. For $30, this DAP punches well above it's level. Sound is loud and strong with no need for a headphone amplifier. Very pleased with the battery performance. Limitations: 1) This player will not play 24-bit/192kHz files or higher resolution audio. 2) The USB C charging port does not support a headphone amplifier or other connectivity. 3) It is NOT a touch screen, requiring use of the navigation buttons, and I find myself touching the screen in my attempts to select playback options. For the price, none of these limitations are deal breakers. I'm extremely happy and I accept the limitations of this unit. It is a solid FLAC player with support for up to 128MB Micro SD expansion. Very pleased and surprised.

A Lot to Like!..... But also a few things to Know..
Okay, first off, it’s not an Ipod.. This is a basic MP3 player, but it does a really good job at it.. Plus it has some features that you may, or may not, need or want… It does feel substantial in your hand, although it’s relatively small and “slippery”.. I had to make (adapt) a rubberized sleeve for it. The case (the one I made) looks ugly, but it really helps get a handle on it… Overall, I like it, and it does what I wanted it to do…. I use it to play already downloaded podcasts, news-related clips, audiobooks, and long music mixes, (all MP3 format) while I’m walking my many miles each week, or just working on things around the house… And I use it every day… The positives: 1) I love that you can simply transfer MP3 files from your computer into the player, and into as many Folders as you want, without needing to use something like iTunes or something like that.. Being able to create multiple different Folders is critical here.. It’s really the only way to keep your files organized, as far as I’ve been able to find.. And I’ve never had an issue transferring files. 2) The Bluetooth has been working reliably, every time I’ve used it, which regularly.. 3) It comes with ear-buds, but can’t judge their quality because I’ve used my own the times I’ve used that function.. 4) Sound quality is very good... I don't use the included ear-buds, but the player itself offers solid sound.. I have never used the speaker though, and probably won't.. 4) Battery life seems to be great.. But do know that Bluetooth consumes power, whereas using the 3.5mm output jack for ear-buds does not… The negatives: 1) It’ll play ONLY AMV and AVI video files.. I was hoping it would work with small MP4 files (even if I wanted to just LISTEN to them), but no… Don’t hope you can play them, they are not recognized.. That may or may not be important to you… 2) The Music organization… It’s not terrible, but as others have noted, it’s not an Ipod, and the file organization will leave you wanting… It’s okay for me, as I keep things all organized with multiple folders, but, that may not be what you’re going for… Again, it’s ~not~ an Ipod.. 3) SORTING of Folders.. I love being able to use different folders, but the ONLY way I’ve found that it sorts the files within each folder is…..by Date Created… Sort by Title, no.. Sort by Size, no.. Sort by Length, no…. And all would be a feature I’d use… But no, not gonna happen… And would love to be wrong on that, if anyone figures out how.. So, all that said, for the price, I really do like it, and it does a great job, for me… But if you were buying this mainly for music listening, and you want it to be an Ipod, you’ll be disappointed.. The Music organization just leaves you wanting… Would I buy it again? Probably.. But I’d also look at other similar ones to see if they offered better organization of files… I’ll give a 4-Star rating, as it works really, really, well, but I think it “could” be better in it’s function.. And if it also came with a small rubberized case to hold it, THAT would be fantastic.. But I’ve yet to see any of these small players that do.. And it would really help in keeping it from sliding around… :-/

Great for serious music lovers
I tried several .mp3 players before settling on this one, not because it’s perfect for all things, but it meets my needs as a source for music. To cover a few of the basics, it utilizes a touch-sensitive system to go through the many options - music, video, radio, text, folders, settings etc. It takes a very light touch to use this system. The sound quality is good and it has a good FM tuner. That was important to me because those are the only functions that really interest me. The screen is good, but it only plays AMV videos that are generally of very low visual quality because of how much is stripped out during conversion, so I’ll probably not bother converting videos to watch. I did copy some pictures of family and friends, but .jpg format is not supported for some reason and so I converted them to .bmp. The REALLY BIG reason I like this player is that it supports the use of folders to hold your music. This is critically important if you want to play classical music (or any other music like sound tracks) in which the parts need to be played in a specific order. So, for instance, if you want to put Vivaldi’s Four Seasons on it you just created a folder, put the 12 numbered movements in it and you’re set to go. I generally use the ‘folder’ function to select the folder containing the music I want, click on it, and listen. It couldn’t be easier. I highly recommend this player for music lovers.

Horrible battery life
First, it is a solid unit and appears well built. Sound quality is good though lacks some features that I would have liked. Easy enough to use and to add songs to, though sometimes when I plug it into the computer, the computer does not recognize it. I then have to unplug the cable, and re-insert it and the computer is then able to find it. Not a huge thing, but annoying. I have not used bluetooth, so cannot speak to that. But what gives it a one star rating is the battery. I charged it before using it and after a couple of hours of use, set it aside for a day. When next I tried to use it, it played for perhaps 5 minutes, then just quit. When I looked, the battery was dead. The information that is published says up to 48 hours playback. That is simply not true. After charging the battery, I let it sit for two days and when I turned it on this morning The battery was very nearly dead again. This is from fully charged to very nearly fully discharged in 2 days without playing even a single minute on it. Does it seem like I am unhappy with the battery life? That is because I am! Should you make the same mistake I did and purchase this, I hope your experience is better than mine has been. According to the reviews, many people are happy with it, but several have mentioned poor battery life. So you have to wonder.

FM radio reception poor, and headphone jack too loose
Everything is great, except for two specific needs I have that may be unusual. The headphone jack is too loose, and not deep enough to properly seat my Koss porta-pro headphone plug. That plug may be a little smaller than some, but those are best-selling headphones, practically the standard for medium-priced, wired headphones. Also, FM reception is not good enough, even when the headphones are seated properly. Still, if you don’t use wired headphones or listen to radio, the sound quality, volume is great. The file management and interface with PC laptops is fiddly, but works OK. The device downloaded ~4,000 songs in a few hours, and played them, no “file not found or unplayable” issues. Battery lasts a long time. Bluetooth works with AT headphones, but not with Sangean desktop radio. It’s always hard to tell whether transmitter or receiver is the weak point with that issue,

Battery life is pretty good
My newborn had a hard time sleeping without some background noise, so my husband and I were constantly losing our phones or leaving a computer on all the time. We started looking for a device that would be strictly for him and found this one. The external speaker quality is actually pretty good for the price. I'd rate it a 4 out of 5. Little muffled and certainly not high def but it's still fairly clear overall. The touchscreen is a little annoying in my opinion, always make sure you have the thing locked else you risk changing all the controls but it functions as expected for the product. The battery life though... this thing lasts us through every nap and the entire night through. I think we've gotten 15ish hours (possibly more) before we have to charge it. And it only takes like an hour to an hour and a half to get back to full charge. So we pull it in the morning once kiddo wakes up and it's generally ready by his next nap (usually about 2 hours later) Now you can only upload stuff via computer, so definitely keep that in mind, and we haven't tested the sound quality with earbuds, but overall I'd definitely say you get your money's worth.

good little budget friendly MP3 player, no issues
I bought this simply to play music, primarily mp3. I don't use any of the other functions, but it has several such as e-reader, FM radio, pictures, video, alarm, pedometer. Lots of extras if you like that sort of thing. I just load it up with music from my computer, then either listen to music through a set of wired headphones, or I connect to a bluetooth speaker, or my main reason.. listening through speakers in my truck. It's an old truck with no current technology. I use one of those cassette adapters to play this music. Or when I borrow my husbands newer car, I use the bluetooth or more often, use an auxillary cord to connect. I never intentionally listed to it through the built in speaker. I like that there is that option despite not making use of it. Since I use it primarily while driving, I needed to be able to get to the music without having to look at the screen or buttons. The only MP3 player I ever really loved was the old ipod classic circa 2005- so easy to navigate. I have yet to find anything quite like that, but at least this RUIZU Mp3 player is easy enough to navigate, so that makes me happy. It takes a little getting used to though. For my driving experience, I have a made a couple of folders of music. Occasionally I just let the mp3 player shuffle everything I own. I have no idea if it skips a lot of music. It does seem to like to bring up a few of the same songs frequently. Overall I don't care.. I just want music playing. This is my second Ruizu. First one of a different model lasted a year, then it began to not play right, or at all. So when it came time to buy another MP3 player, I looked at so many-- then circled back around to Ruizu since I was already familiar with it. The price makes it worth trying. I am pleased with this one so far. I have been using it for a few months now, no issues. Battery life is good- I don't need to charge it too often. It is providing me with music when I want it, and that is all I really need it for. If I learn anything new, or experience anything worth sharing, I will be back to do so.

Nice little MP3 Player
I wanted a portable MP3 player that would work with a noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphone, that would hold many thousands of MP3 songs. This player does the trick. It is easy to use and has very decent sound quality. It has most of the basic features I need, such as different play modes, and is very compact and solid. The shuffle play mode doesn't seem to be that random, but time will tell if it's going to be an issue or not for me. There are many features beyond the basics, such as equalizer and play speed adjustment, that I will try later, but whether these work well or not really don't matter much right now. I can always use a PC for doing fancy stuff.
