Great Handlebar Extender for Extra Accessory Space, Just Needs a Little Fitting Tweak
I recently purchased the BRCOVAN Aluminum Alloy Handlebar Extender with an 11.81'' long crossbar, and it’s been a helpful addition to my bike setup.**Pros:** The extender is perfect if you’re running out of space on your handlebars for accessories. With the extra room, I can now mount multiple items like my phone holder, light, and bell without any crowding issues. The double clamp mechanism feels sturdy, and the aluminum alloy construction adds a nice touch of durability without being too heavy.**Cons:** The only minor inconvenience I encountered was that it didn't fit as snugly as I hoped on my handlebars. However, using a bit of third-party rubber padding solved this issue, helping to keep everything tight and secure.Overall, the BRCOVAN handlebar extender is a practical solution for anyone needing more accessory space, though you might need to tweak the fit a bit if your handlebars are on the slimmer side.

Perfect addition to my ebike!
I purchased this to give me a bit more "freedom" for accessories on my ebike. My regular handlebars are pretty "crowded"... this gives me some additional space! I was able to mount my action camera and a horn on it. Works well, and... it looks great!

Works just fine
Fits fine on my handlebar. I read and ignored all the negative reviews simply because these people have no idea what they're talking about. I've bicycled and worked on my own bikes for decades and am as competent if not more than a bike shop mechanic. I know how to fix things and how to avoid dumb mistakes as many reviewers made. Some people moan that it won't fit their curvy handlebars. Well, duh! You seriously think square pegs fit round holes? It's a rigid, straight tube. Of course you can't get it to fit a very curved bar. That's user error and not justification for a one-star review. No handlebar extender will work with such bars. That said, this does fit a slightly curved bar. Mine has about a 5º back sweep. I just fitted the tube into the clamps then loosely fitted the clamps around the handlebar, alternately tightening a little on one side then the other. The rubber shims allowed it to conform to my swept bars. That also addresses another ignorant complaint that it was tough to fit the tube through the clamps. You install the tube in both clamps first THEN fit the large ends – which open wide – around the handlebar. Not vice versa. Some other cheaper extenders had designs that were concerning, like bolts that are way too long and protrude alarmingly when installed, which could be a hazard in a crash. This one is fine, with no sharp protruding edges. If there's one nitpick I could make, it's that there's no factory-applied threadlocker compound on the bolts. But I have my own, so that's not a big deal. Overall, this was worth the few extra dollars compared to the competition.

Only fits straight handlebars.
Appears to be well made. Several rubber insert sizes for different bar diameters. Gave it 4 out of 5 stars only because nothing in the description cautions about making sure your handlebar is a straight bar to the left and right of the stem. My handlebar tapers to a smaller diameter out of the stem, then makes slight bends angling both ends slightly rearward. This handlebar extender has a 12 inch straight tube so the mounting clamps have to be straight in line with one another. With the angles and tapers in my handlebar, there is no possible way to make this work. This extender only works if the clamps are perfectly parallel to allow the extender tube to slide through and clamp in place. Again, appears to be well made and should work well, just make sure your handlebar is straight so that the clamps and extender tube match up.

The spacers, those two struts that hold the bar apart from the handle bars proper is not long enough
DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT if you have any of that "maybe not standard on a bike built before 1920", but certainly is standard on a bike built after the year 2000. You know, gear twist shifter, battery controller for electric bike LCD display. Bike handlebar real estate has become a competitive area. We need more of it, and devices that go on there need to respect it.The struts need to be at least an inch longer. If I need three of them to properly stabilize it once installed, then I need thee struts to properly stabilize it once installed.Basically, I need a one-inch extender for each strut, that goes over the end of each strut, and an existing screw can go through a hole to add stability. Then, the bar in secured in place to the extended struts and the bar will be held at a position just beyond the normal componentry of my bicycle, you know the gear changer, the bike computer, that runs the electric motor. The photos show that, in the position I wanted to install it, the gear changer is blocked from being effective , and that in the position I decided to install it, the brake lever is cramped.
