First I bought the printing label maker. The printing was never satisfactory and the labels didn’t stay stuck. I decided to go back to the “old-fashioned”, “unimproved” type that I owned years ago. Sometimes newer isn’t better. I’ve been satisfied with this embossing label maker. Much better performance than the printing machine.

Had previously bought the Dymo Xpress Pro Embossing label maker and as soon as I opened it, did not function properly. This one was a dream! Motel made an easy to use machine that is easy to press down on, to change the wheel is fast and effortless, love this little machine!

At first I gave this product one star; however, I learned after receiving a replacement that it was my own error that was causing it not to print on the embossing tape. After loading the tape you must make sure the tape is sandwiched between the printing wheel. If not it won’t advance the tape nor will it print the individual letters. I see pictures from other reviewers and I see my exact mistake. The instructions are not very clear on that aspect of loading the tape correctly and it is very important!After figuring this out, I have been a labeling maniac. I absolutely love this thing! It did lose a star because it is just cheap plastic and you can’t just toss it around; however, I love the nostalgia of the font on the labels. And it makes everything so darn cute and put together.It comes with a full roll of blue embossing tape, lowercase and an uppercase wheel plus the poorly written instructions. I purchased the metallic tape from Motex and it is very durable tape. You can change the wheel in the middle of a project if you want a different lettering or symbol, but make sure the tape is sandwiched inside of the wheel.

This is my first manual non-battery powered and embossing label maker and it is by far my favorite! It is super easy to use and really light. I would be afraid to drop it though. Not sure how tough it is and if it could withstand a fall on hardwood floors. It also fits nicely in my small hands!It came already set up and ready to use and with two wheels, one with letters and numbers and the other with cute symbols. It was super easy to switch out and set up.The tape seems to be pretty good quality - nice and thick. It was easy for me to peel and stick with long nails, might be a little more challenging with short nails. I'm not experiencing any curling of the edges yet, but we will see after a week of being on the back of my phone being an item with high traffic.

This product works ok. Not amazing, not awful. It is taking a lot of trial and error to figure out how to get clean impressions/embossing and spacings. It came with 'assorted' color tape, which was bright green. Since I knew I wanted black tape, I ordered it separately. It would be nice to have more clarity as to what color tape you'd get with the order. Don't think I'd order it again, but since I have it I'll make it work. Wouldn't recommend buying it unless you're on a budget and willing to touble-shoot.

For the money, this is a fine embossed. It is a bit clugy, though. You have to press the trigger just so much, no more and no less or you will have a faint embossment or double embossing. It usually takes me a few tries to get it right each time. However, since this wasn't super expensive, it does work after practice and I've used it to label my spice jar lids, successfully.

when i worked retail i had to find ways to pass the time so i would often use cheap label makers like these to hide messages around the stores i worked in. one time i got a regional manager at a national chain to start an investigation into the messages i had been leaving around several stores in her market all thanks to this little guy.anyway use it wisely, like organizing your pastas by individual strand maybe i dunno sky's the limit bud

Excelente producto y buenas calidad

Absolutely love this. Great design, easy to use. The results are excellent. I have used the name brand ones in past and they are disappointing. This one is quick, the dial is quick and easy on the hands, easy to load and does an excellent job. Very happy.
