You don't have to be able to make traditional patchwork blocks to be able to make an eye catching quilt. This book provides ideas for making fabric choices to make quilts more contemporary. Ideas for placement of half and quarter square triangles to achieve a modern, geometric look makes it suitable for beginners to this craft or for those needing a quick make.

Love every design!
Lovely little book with easy to follow cutting and sewing instructions and the photographs help even more. Yardage and finished size is given as well so you know exactly how much fabric you need at the start and if you decide to increase the size of your quilt, you will know how much to add. I would love to make every one of the quilts in this book. I love traditional blocks but these designs are just great! Can't wait to get started.

Lovely modern quilts
I haven't yet started any of the projects in the book. It was just what I was hoping for - quilting with a modern touch. Lovely photos but as I haven't followed any of the instructions yet I can't comment on how easy the book is to follow. I'm looking forward to starting something soon. I've based my five star rating on the fact that I can't see anything negative at this stage.

Modern quilts
Janet’s second book is colourful, stylish and well-illustrated. It has easy to follow instructions, with ideas and inspiration for all levels of ability, ages and interests ie the Soundwaves quilt would be great for a teenager and the colours would suit boys or girls .It exceeded my expectations and all achievable with a ruler and rotary cutter; a gem from the Queen of “half-square triangles”.

Easy to follow
This book has easy to follow instructions, has clear photos to see the design, I bought some fabrics from the ally pally knitting and stitching show to make the floating triangle quilt I will be making more from this book some will be presents
