Nice scent, nostalgic! And inexpensive!

It takes a while to get Body Shop products but Amazon is the only way to get their wonderful brand products.

I’m sad to have to write this review. It’s directed towards those of us who have worn White Musk Oil from the Body Shop for years. We know that certain scent and how just a little bit will last all day. We’ve heard the comments of how fresh smelling our perfume is, that it isn’t heavy, just a light, clean and very natural scent. That’s a thing of the past. Whoever made the decision to change the formula, and believe me, it’s definitely changed, made a mistake. What they are selling now is very different, the scent is off, it doesn’t last and that nice, light natural smell is gone. I’ve worn White Musk Oil from the Body Shop since 1983 and suddenly I can’t wear this because it’s too strong and it doesn’t smell good on me anymore. I’m sure there are those that are happy with this new formula but it smells nothing like what the White Musk Oil is supposed to smell like. Also, I’m glad I only purchased 1 bottle because you can’t return it. Maybe I can find someone who actually likes this stuff and give it to them. Anyway, this is just my opinion from a very long time and now former customer of The Body Shop. I guess I need to go shopping to find a different perfume oil while I continue to sparingly use the last bottle of the “real” White Musk Oil I have left.

I was desperate for White Musk-I even put water in my existing bottle-Body Shop White Musk -the older versioned Packaging / the one with black lettering and Black top !Yes this is same stuff and brand?(I believe it should have been as its called WhiteMusk and is Body Shop?)as because it should be from Body Shop,HOWEVER . As I explained,Even the existing bottle, the one that " I had diluted with water" -Smells More of White Musk.... than what I just purchased, and is of great disappointment. I state above in title that I have used WHITE MUSK for16+ years, yes the Body Shop version,BUT EVEN WHEN I was 16 years old (maybe younger) I purchased white musk at Menlo Park Mall in Edison NJ......at a Hippy Shop -next to the Chinese take out behind Pennies. OK" so I am 60 NOW, That Other White Musk, of my Youth came Bottled in a CUBE SHAPED-Clear Glass Bottle. I cannot find who Makes this. and Thus is why I use BODY SHOP WHITE MUSK, to this day..YET It is even further from my NOSE.... Is this truly Body Shop? if it is-is this OUT DATED? TELL ME PLEASE Some one.because this artist= I can not smell the scent I yearn to wear?

I'm going to be honest and say I bought this sight unseen because TBS has vegan scents that I might like. When I smelled this out of the bottle I regretted my decision instantly, I hated it. Didn't even try it on my skin. 8 months went by and the bottle just stayed there unsused so long that it had gathered dust. I decided "what the heck" and used it on my skin because scents smell 100% different on skin than they do in the bottle. So I put some on and let it dry and OMG! I truly regret not trying it before. I love it, I especially love how it ages on my skin, it lasts quite a while. I've put some on in the morning, gone to a lunch cycling class, sweat a lot, and you could still faintly smell it after with no re-application. Don't judge it by smelling it out of the bottle, try it on yourself, then judge it. I'm buying the perfume, mist, lotion, and body wash so it's just coming out of my pores.

I first purchased the white musk oil from The Body Shop several years ago. That little bottle (it had a black cap at the time) lasted for quite some time. A little of that like went a long way because one dab on your skin or a few drops mixed with a carrier oil and the scent would last ALL DAY. While this bottle smells exactly the same, the scent does not last nearly as long. I know we can become “nose blind” but when the oil is applied directly to my wrists, it only lasts about a half day and it costs too much money to dissipate that quickly. This is why I took off 2 stars. The scent is still great though (think of a soft musk with just a hint of powder). Hope this helps.

OK - I am 47 - the title ma sound like I'm a teenager...so no! LOL. But - I hardly ever leave reviews. The product has to be either really good or really bad. This one is AMAZING!!!I have a super old bottle of musk from the 90's (I kid you not) and it's so rubbed out I can't tell what it says on it. Pretty sure it's from the body shop but have gotten a few musks through the years and none are the same scent.THIS. IS. IT. Best scent ever!!! I wore it last night and my husband went crazy. He was like "omg you smell so good".And the price is ridiculously low.This is an oil so no alcohol that evaporates and I still smell it on myself this morning!Just ordered 2 more bottles in case they are discontinued or something. Debating if to get 10 more...That is a little excessive though. Right?? :-)
