I am always looking for new and exciting crafts for my little grandkids. This set was a hit with our artistic five-year-old granddaughter, who is very meticulous and detail-oriented. She loved the magic of the foil transfers and was able to explore all kinds of creative choices. The biggest plus was that I didn't have to mop up a mess afterward.

THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! I truly wish I could add extra stars. This is one of the coolest, most fun craft kits I have ever gotten. The variety of backgrounds, stickers, and foil colors are incredible. It does not leave ANY mess. Which is really unheard of in my house with a rambunctious 5 year old. I have FTed many family and friends to have them watch her do this because it is so cool. I really, REALLY recommend this!!

This arts and crafts activity offers a unique experience for young children, but it requires a lot of adult assistance. I did this with a 5-year-old, and he needed quite a bit of help with the delicate stickers and fragile foil transfer sheets. We started with the safari-themed project, and as shown in the attached photo, you may need to go over some areas twice to get full coverage with the foil. We also found that the foil could stick to areas that were already covered, making it difficult to achieve clean edges. The googly eyes definitely add the final touch, so don’t forget them!

love this craft kit! everything your kids need. lots of colorful foil sheets. kids like the stickers. so happy it is a project without glue! If you like foil art you will like this kit. Also applicable for a good range of ages which I think is nice. Would be a great gift idea for bday for friends.

I am a serious fan of foil art for the 5- to-10-year kids in my arts and crafts classes. I have a 3 year old little sister who does quite well with some help. All of the kids enjoy this craft. They make creative color and placement choices and produce some nice looking pictures.This set has very nice background artwork. The 10 background pictures are printed on both sides of 5 sturdy cards. Ten cards would be better for my classes, and I copy the backgrounds onto some cardstock so that we can use the kit in class for 10 kids working at the same time. There are 10 sheets of interesting stickers and more than enough sheets of foil.I give my kids one background and one sticker sheet at a time, and don't give them another set until they have finished the first one. I show them how to use the edges of the sticker sheets instead of the middle so that there will be plenty of foil for all of the artwork in the kit.IMPORTANT: use the foil sheets with the shiny side UP. The foil color sticks to the adhesive and comes off of the foil sheet onto your artwork, but if you put the foil sheet upside down, the foil sheet will stick to the artwork, and pull the adhesive off when you remove it - then you will no longer have adhesive for the foil color to stick to.HELPFUL HINT: don't use the favorite sticker on the sticker sheet first, in case you have a learning curve mistake and it doesn't turn out perfect. Practice on a smaller sticker so that you know what you are doing before you do the favorite sticker.

This looks like so much fun! I'm giving it to my son as a birthday gift, so haven't used it yet, but the stickers are thick and seem of good quality, as do the backgrounds. There are lots of colors of foil. They include sticks to help with attaching the foil. It looks pretty easy and self explanatory. I'm excited for him to use this kit!

This is a clever art kit where you produce scenes by pushing different colored foil sheets against the light adhesive on the front of little sticker animals and such, so that they get strategically coated with the shiny foil to color the different parts of them. Then you can stick them onto various scene backgrounds.Our almost-6-year-old had really no trouble doing it, and had a great time producing such shiny, vibrant art.I was pleased to encounter what feels like a fresh and novel craft like this. I can't say I've ever seen something quite like it before. And the outcomes are really attractive!

It says on the box you get 10 backdrops, but you actually only get 5 double-sided backdrops. It says this in the product description but should really say that on the box as well, given that most of these kits come with 10. The backdrops have a good variety, at least - underwater, a barnyard, an ice floe, etc.The set comes with a goodly number of various sizes of googly eyes, including large ones which I have not seen in other kits like this. The big googly eyes are larger than the eyes on most of the animal stickers so if you want to stick them on you might want to peel off the paper for the face as well, and then stick the foil on around the eyes; but that might be difficult for little hands to handle.There's nice details on many of the stickers. Unlike some other kits I've gotten, the stickers are not sticky on the surface at all after foil is applied, which bodes well for durability. There is a chemical smell but this should dissipate, if experience holds.You get 10 each of 10 different foils, four of which are holographic. The nice surprise in the group was the presence of black foil, which I have missed in other kits and is thus a very welcome addition to my foil library.I gave this 4 stars despite the mostly-not-holographic foils and the double-sided backdrops because the stickers themselves seem pretty good quality. The paper seems consistently cut through, the adhesive doesn't "leak" through the foil, and the designs are good. Makes a good kit to combine with others.
