It smelled alright but the sweet smell of vanilla was very weak.The smoke smell hurt my eyes which is unusual as most incense sticks that I have never produce such a smoke. The incense on the stick was very very poor in quality. It broke off the stick and the dust kept coming off. It didn't burn very well either and didn't light like most incense sticks and the smoke was probably hazardous or something because it was so irritating to breathe. I do not have any allergies to anything so I'm thinking there was an irritant in the insence, I also burn sticks from a variety of brands quite regularly that don't cause me to react in such a way.Yes I did have large windows open before, while, and after burning the sticks, which of course gave the same results, burning eyes and coughing.I also tried burning in a room with low ventilation and a closed door, which obviously gave the same results, and the vanilla smell was a bit stronger but only dominated about 10% of the total smellI bought some from the shop for £1.50 for a better quality than this, I think I'll stick to that from now on.
