Bult like a tank
I had a mic stand that I used for a large Pyrimid to meditate under. It was a real hassle, tipping over had to hold it from falling with heavy bags. This heavy build is no problem; it's great and built super strong. Holds my Pyramid with no problem. I love it.

Built Like a Tank, Moves Like a Pro
When you get serious about your home studio, you stop messing around with flimsy mic stands that wobble if someone in the next county sneezes. The Griffin 11FT Rolling Boom Stand is the moment you grow up. This thing is massive, stable, smooth to adjust, and rolls like it owns the place. I can position a mic exactly where I want it without doing yoga poses or stacking random boxes. The telescopic arm reaches farther than common sense says it should, and the whole stand feels like it was built for an actual studio, not a bedroom setup held together with hope. If you have heavy mics, awkward angles, drum kits, tall vocalists, or just want your space to look like you mean business, get a couple of these. They are worth every penny. Five stars

More substantial than expected
Substantial build, not cheap. Works great for my overhead camera shooting straight down for my coming piano lessons website videos. SteveFarmerMusic on TY.

Best stand I own!
I can’t say enough great things about this Griffin microphone stand. I have multiple stands in my studio, including some that are bigger and heavier, but this one stands out as the most mobile and durable over time. Unlike many heavy-duty stands, the wheels are easy to attach, making it effortless to move around. It securely holds my expensive microphones without tipping over, and the counterweight is a major plus for stability. At this price point, I’d choose this stand over and over again rather than spending $200+ on other heavy-duty options. Highly recommended!

Far exceeds expectations - very high quality and rugged construction
These were to replace a lackluster Pyle PMKS56 whose boom could barely support the lightest of microphones. The GRIFFINs are all welded steel tubing - very sturdy and stable. The wheels are high-quality ball bearing locking casters with rubber/urethane tires and ball-bearing hubs in the wheels. The quadrant style pivot for the boom has a nice smooth motion and positive lock - does not slip at all. Plus there is a substantial, movable counterweight on the boom. The only thing I can criticize is there should be crush-bushings inside the tubing where the pivot and lock bolts pass thru the tubing. This does not affect usability at all - but would mitigate potential squashing of the tubing if the locking lever was overtightened. These are as good as it gets for the $$ - if you are looking at them... BUY SOME - they do not disappoint.

poor quality and no proper instructions
This Stand is severely lacking in quality control; the top section arrived visibly rusted, and the overall construction had no smooth finishing. Assembly was impossible due to a critical flaw where the screw cannot be mounted properly, compounded by a lack of proper instructions. This stand is unusable and does not meet the basic standards expected for studio equipment. Boxgiven was torn and not proper as well.

Heavy duty, multipurpose stand.
Rock solid! Very heavy, & takes up a lot of floor space, but puts the shotgun mic out of the camera's view. Also can hold a Vidpro on camera led light panel overhead for hair lighting using a Zoom mic clip adapter. Holds a GoPro camera for overhead shots as well. Great stand, fair price.

This product is almost perfect. Very solid and sturdy; I feel confident my microphone will not drop. The only downside is that although new, the unit I have came with chipped and rashed paint. It does not impact the usage, but is just a bit of a let down for a new item. Perhaps they didn't wait long enough for the paint to dry before mounting it?

Decent choice and quality built steel stands on locking wheels that are lighter than expected. One arrived damaged in shipping so I contacted Geek Stands (the supplier) and they hooked me up right away. Great customer service and communications from a quality company that cares about their customers. The stands have very good reach on telescoping boom arms and all powder coated to keep things looking snazzy for the duration. Very happy with my purchase!
