Love this bowl. My dog scarfs his food down. He used to finish 2 cups of food in under 1 minute. Now with this bowl it takes him almost 5 minutes to fnish 2 cups. 2 cups is about the most this bowl can have in it at one time though so if you're looking for something that can hold more you will need a bigger one or multiple feeings.

This definitely has helped my pup slow down his eating, however, I would have expected the material to be a little more durable. His teeth do grind against the bowl when trying to get up the last bits of food, which may be his error, but there are little bit marks all over the bowl. I am still pleased with my purchase and would definitely buy this bowl again if the current one ever broke or became unusual (which is unlikely, in my opinion).

Bella, my Doxador would suck down her food in 3 minutes in a normal bowl.It took Bella 12 minutes the first time, we were thrilled it's been 3 weeks and she has mastereda technique to overcome the initial problems she had.She has gotten it down to 3 minutes and I expect her to knock it down to 3 in time.It wasn't worth it, i'm sure your dog will master it as well.Save your money. :-(

My dog hates this, but she's also very overweight. This bowl makes her slow down while eating, therefore my other dogs have plenty of time to eat their food before she makes her way over. She's pretty crafty and I'm sure she convinces my puppy it's his bowl, but nothing a little monitoring can't fix. She can't top it over and the food spreads out within a the design, so it almost turns into a game.

Works like a charm. My dog used to slobber all over the place before we got this bowl and she would throw up after drinking water so fast. After we got this bowl she stopped throwing up and slobbering all over! Yay! Also she's a big 90lbs girl and this bowl is a perfect size for her.

Great bowl! I found a similar bowl at my local pet store for 3x the price. Glad to have been able to get it online for a much better price.It works great for my whippet who eats like a little pig. It now takes him about 5 minutes to eat, as compared to his previous 30 second record! I was worried it would not work with a sighthound breed since they have such long and narrow snouts, but it’s great! Lots of nooks and crannies slow down the eating process. Make sure to place it on a rug or some kind of carpet, or it will slide around a lot.I’ve filled it with 1 1/2 cups max. It’s pretty full at that point. I believe it would fit up to 2 cups of kibble. Bowl fits in top rack of dishwasher and is easy to clean.10/10 would recommend!

You know those food puzzles that they make for dogs? This bowl is sort of like that - it slows down my 45 lb pit bull during meal time (drastically...takes about 3-4 minutes for her to eat 1 cup of kibble from this bowl), but it also challenges her mind as she works to get the final 1/4th cup of kibble out of the bowl. I've added a video so you can see how it slows her down. She gets a little silly with it towards the end, rotating the bowl so that she can go at the food from a different angle.Great bowl - keeps dog from gulping down food, gorgeous blue color, thick sturdy plastic, plastic textured legs on bottom to keep the bowl from sliding, and cleans up fine on the top rack of the dishwasher.

My pup tends to gulp down her food, with this bowl, I mix it with water and it can take her a good half hour to get it all... It has cut way back on my worries about bloat and/or her getting sick from eating too fast.
