I’m not sure how this stacks up against professional grade medical orthoscopes, but I’m still getting the hang of it! I think the tool itself is well made, but according to our pediatrician, there’s a learning curve. She gave me some advice on how to hold it and mentioned that in medical school her and her peers routinely looked inside one another’s ears with orthoscopes - simply to master the skill. So far, I’m honestly still working on getting the correct angle to where I’m not just seeing eat hair! The recommendation seems to be to practice on adult ears first. I’m not there yet, and still a bit nervous that I might hurt my child’s eardrum accidentally, but I’ll keep trying! It seems like a decent tool and well-made which is why I give 4 stars, and I intend to keep it as the idea detecting ear infections on my own is appealing, but I would recommend bringing it to your pediatrician for some tips on handling and use…

The media could not be loaded. Comes with everything in the pictures except 2AA batteries. Very light don't know if that's good or bad, but for me personally it's okay. The light is very bright but other than that your good to go!

Received a pretty pink otoscope!

Purchased about a year ago! Still use it to this day! Love it so much it is so helpful if you have a child that gets built up wax or ear infections frequently. It's helpful to be able to see for your self before making a doctors appt. Absolutely use this item very often. Such a helpful tool to have laying around the house when you have kids!
