Sakkas Bridget Renaissance Dress

It fits like a dream! The metallic threading accents are so beautiful. It looks really high-quality. Looking forward to steaming it and wearing it to my book launch party.

I'm 5'1 on a good day and was hesitant to buy this dress. I also fluctuate between 150 - 170 pounds, which makes buying clothes online always tough. This dress fit really well! It wasn't tight at all and it wasn't too long. It was also very well made, with beautiful details all over the dress, and comfortable to wear.The side panels ARE see through. They aren't super apparent unless you hold out the skirt (like in the picture) or sometimes when you sit. I wore a slip under the dress and a long sleeve white shirt under it as well (it's winter) and the dress still looked and fit great. I got loads of compliments on it.My only complaint is that, with tiny kitten heels, this dress was too short (right above my ankles). If you plan on wearing heels, be aware of that.I wore it as part of my Little Red Riding Hood costume and I can't wait to find an excuse to wear it again!

I bought this dress in purple to wear to Red Hat Society events. I can also wear it for the following Halloween costumes: Renaissance wench, pirate, cowgirl, gypsy. It's a very pretty dress, and I love it that the style is so versatile. The weight of the fabric is just right (not transparent) and the lace-up front makes it adjustable so it fits me perfectly. I will have to wear a half slip under it because the 2 sheer panels in front go up to my upper thighs, even though I am only 4' 11 1/2" inches tall. Wearing it without a slip would be OK for a daring young woman but not for an older gal like me. Overall, I am very pleased with the color, fit, versatility, price, and appearance of this dress. I feel it is good value for money.

The size said one size fits all but it did not even go over my head. My mom tried it on too (she wears L - XL) (I wear XL - 1X). She could not even get it on too. Its a very beautiful dress and I wish it would of fit. Have to return it. This dress is NOT one size fits all. The all is only the small all.

As many other reviews note, the mesh paneling on the skirt is incredibly flimsy although overall the dress is beautiful. I noticed the rips during my initial try-on, so I don't know for sure if my dress arrived with part of the mesh torn or if it tore within the first few minutes of wearing it, but either case speaks to the fabric quality. Other reviewers mention repairing the tears, but since the mesh is so flimsy to begin with, I'm not sure if that will be a viable fix in the long run and I think it would sacrifice some of overall swishiness of the skirt. For me, the tears were in the lower portion of the skirt so they're not obvious when the dress is worn. The mesh panels do go up to the hip so if it had torn in a different place I would need to return but overall I still find my dress wearable as-is, although I'll have to be careful with how I move in it to prevent more damage.Fit-wise, this is a little less forgiving than other Sakkas styles, I'm 5'2" 165lbs and usually order the S/M but I could have easily sized up with this style. Instead of the high cinched waist and free skirt a lot of these dresses have, this one is more fitted throughout the waist and top of the hips. It still fits but it's tight and means I have to be that much more careful to avoid tears.Overall, I'm happy with the look if not 100% pleased with the quality as it was $55 + shipping. With the gift of hindsight, I would still have bought the dress but I probably would have waited for it to go on sale and would consider sizing up.

I need a blue dress for step daughter's wedding and ordered 3. This one is the right color, has nice flow and shape, and fit right. I chose the one, but will need a good slip as it has see through panels. Material wrinkles, so will need to steam or iron after travel for wedding. Over all, very happy with the dress!

The dress fits perfectly. For me, quality and sizing information are the most important things to note about a purchase, and Customer Service is the most important thing a business can offer. Even if a product is unsatisfactory, the way in which a customer is treated, to resolve the situation, is very important. I didn't need to contact this business, so I can't rate their customer service, but I would hope that if I did, they would act quickly to remedy the problem. I bought a S/M size, am 5'3" tall, and usually take a size 8. This dress has elastic gathers on the back, and a lace up bodice, so it can be adjusted to fit many sizes within the stated size range. The ONLY problem with this ONE particular dress, (The purple Bridget Renaissance Dress, and I ordered 10 of these in different styles and colors, 2 white with the long sleeves, 3 purple, 2 blue, 3 black, When I like something, I REALLY like something...) is that there is a 3" section of seam that was sewn improperly, so there is a 3" gap (or hole) on the front, near the lacing. A little hand stitching will fix that up, no problem. So one little missed seam, out of 10 dresses, that's a darn good record! Please wash by hand in COLD water. YES, a lot of dye will come out in the wash, that's normal, the colors stay bold...If you have any white items you want dyed, and I DID, throw them in with the dress...I now have purple t-shirts and bras! So, if you love BOLD colors, a dress that fits and looks beautiful on you, (even if you may have gained a little weight), with a long enough skirt to keep your legs warm, beautiful stitching, sparkly embellishments, and just makes you feel pretty...you will LOVE these dresses from SAKKAS!!!

I am 5'2 and 136 lbs. My chest is 36 " so the top part of this dress JUST fits. If the biggest part of your chest is over 36 buy a L/XL. I bought a S/M. The slits in the dress are very revealing and go up to my hip bone. I wear skin coloured underwear and it is fine. The dress goes down to my ankle which is what I wanted. This dress is beautiful but wash by hand and the dye does come out. If you have a little bit of extra weight in the hips the sleeves seem to balance the look to make you look slimmer. This is a great dress, but because of the chest being so small I will not put it in the dryer.
