Support where it's needed.
I bought this to replace an old one because I know it works. This is about my fifth or sixth one. I am 71 and my knees are somewhat loose! In the last seven days I have completed workouts including the following: Squat 20kg/10, 40kg/10. 60kg/20,80kg/10 85kg/7. Deadlift 60kg/10, 80kg/8, 100kg/6. Deficit Deadlift (off 2.5mmplate) 80kg/5 X2, 85kg/5. Step Ups 100 to 450mm platform. Kettle Bell 20kg (in circuit) Snatch 2 sets, Clean & press 2 sets, Swings 2 sets (repeated twice in this period with other exercises, chins hanging leg raises, bike sprints etc. Based on this evidence I would say that this is a useful product. NB, my left knee is in very poor shape and this is where I use the strap.

Great feeling of strengthening and support
I am very impressed with the knee straps. My knees have been painful for quite a while now ( age/arthritis/degeneration ) and I recently injured the front of my knee, so was in quite a lot of discomfort. I was delighted to find the straps very supportive and a great comfort. I can walk without pain and they have really helped. My other knee has not been without issues and I have had Illiotibial Band Syndrome there. I decided that another of these Cho Pat straps would probably help and purchased a second one. With specific knee-excercises and ice-packs/elevation to reduce swelling, etc., I am managing therapy myself. The straps are an enormous help. I suppose I may eventually need knee-replacements....but, until then.......

Works for me- just don't keep it too long!
This is the 3rd one of these I've bought. I've found them very effective for patella tendonitis, allowing me to continuing playing football/ doing quad exercises etc at the gym into middle age. They can be used on either side and I wear them on both knees now. My first one of these has just gone in the bin after 7 1/2 years- because of it's age it kept slipping off. Result- pain in the tendon again! New purchase already making it feel better. You do need to do the physio with tendinopathy, but these have certainly helped me much more than the simple 'band' design.

Best knee brace
If you have a 'dodgy' knee that clicks and wanders, then this is the brace for you. It doesn't ride up or down like some, and is great to wear when doing your exercises to keep the knee in place.

Comfortable and easy movement
Been wearing this type of support for quite a few years now. Not really built for lateral support but does help with knee pain due to meniscus and ligament injury and arthritis. It is very easy to put on and comfortable to wear for long periods, although I often loosen it a bit when I sit down. This is my fourth one and bought to replace earlier ones which become a bit over stretchy and nobbily over the course of a year or so, probably due to washing frequently.

I shattered my leg in 2007. I spent 3 years on and off in a hospital bed while it took 2 different surgeons 7 surgeries to fix my leg. Internal reduction/external fixation, at one point had to have the leg re-broken (Taylor spacial frame) due to malunion and now the bone is forever deformed from my injury. It was a mess! The last surgery to remove all the plates and screws was in March 2010 and I have spent the last 6 years trying to get my life back on track while working full time and trying to live a "normal" life. Of course, due to my injury, I will need a total knee replacement (the tibia plateau is "mangled" according to my ortho doc), but at 41, they won't touch me for another 20 years. To boot, I have torn meniscus (both sides) and joint compression has already begun. I have been working with the doctor and the pt folks to get a knee brace. Because my leg is a little different, it's been hard; un-loaders don't work because I have problems on both sides and pressure in the wrong place causes extreme pain. My knee went out again in January 2016 (pain so bad that I could hardly walk). I went through the Euflexxa injections (successful experience!) in March and have spent the last 7 months gearing up to chaperone my son on his Disney trip (April 2016) for his school's show choir group (when you are a gimp, one must plan ahead!). Why am I telling you all of this? Because this brace saved my life! I tried to wear the one I got from the doctor, but it was too uncomfortable, so I went to Amazon and started looking around. I wasn't sure what to do and was desperate because it was literally 2 weeks from my trip and I was so afraid that I couldn't be able to be the "cool mom" that I wanted to be for this adventure. I got the brace in and put it on - IMMEDIATELY, I felt a difference! I could tell the pressure was off the outside of my knee joint and it felt like I was walking "straight" for the first time in 6 years. My limp was much less pronounced and I felt great after my walk! End Result: I was able to chaperone my son's trip to Disney, walked 48 miles that week (YEP, 48 MILES - 32 in 3 days) and was only sore for A DAY after I got home!! I will be ordering multiples in different colors to go with my clothes as these will be with me for life! You have no idea how wonderful it felt to hear my 12 yr old say "Mom! You are walking too fast, I can't keep up!" after what I have been through! Thank you for such an excellent product and for helping me on that final leg of my journey back to mobility!

This is a quality item. It’s helped my patellar tendinitis. I wear it during training and during the day when the tendon flares up.
