Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Gateway Ultra

One of the easiest router/firewall installs ever. Connect to internet, connect using the app on your phone and just walk through the guided setup. Also configuring vpn server and site to site connections is so easy. Definitely recommended for small office home office. Also the little screen on the front makes it fun to watch lol. Firmware updates are easy to install. Security defaults are fine if youre not hosting anything, if you do, i recommend using cyber protect enhanced subscription. VLAN and subnet functionality work as a breeze. Keep in mind, this device only does 1gbps routing using the ids/ips features. Go for the step up if you require higher speeds

Having purchased and installed this I now wish I had done so years ago. I've used many router/firewall combinations and feel that this one is much easier to use, and suits my needs as just a homeowner. I've since replaced my former switches and wireless access points with units from the Unifi brand and find they all work very well together. When paired together, these Unifi products make managing the network, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules much, much easier than what I was previously accustomed to with my prior equipment. I've previously used Opnsense, Arista/ Untangle, Sophos, and Pfsense and they had more capabilities but were significantly more complicated and were not as simple / easy / quick to use as this Unifi product. Again, since I'm not managing a business network or a data center, I wish I had simply bought into the Unifi ecosystem years ago - would have saved me a lot of time and effort.

This thing is badass. I love it. We lost our 10 year old Edgerouter X in a thunderstorm. I bought this as a replacement and couldn't be happier. Things that I used to have to command line set up are now just plug and play. It figures things out and acts as both the router and as a Cloud Key. It auto-updates and handles just about everything for you. The available UI is nice too. I couldn't be happier with it. I love Ubiquiti products and will always be a customer.

I love this gateway. I have dual ISP's now and now never have any down time. This also serves as the configuration portal for all my switches, bridge devices, and wifi access points. It sends emails if I have an ISP/ WAN outage and it fairly easy to use and setup. There are also hundreds of youtube instructionals out there to help you set it up. I really love being able to setup networks that separate traffic that doesn't need to see my main network, things such as vacuums, cameras, tv's, etc. Those devices have zero reason to touch our main network. I also LOVE the guest network that I've set up to direct people to a terms and conditions page without the need for a password. THAT is a cool feature. As for reliability, is has had 100% up time for 4 months now. I love it!

Used this to replace a edge routerx, easy and fast setup. 3rd party seller sent me a European model with the wrong power adapter.

I have used many routers from several brands, and this one is now my default for new small-medium business setups. I bought this one for my home and am switching over my wifi from Deco to Unifi. Now I feel like I have total control over my home setup without any subscriptions.

This replaces both the Unified Security Gateway (USG) and Unifi Cloud Key. It also has a service that secures my system as well. This is great! I thought I was making a one-for-one exchange on the Cloud Key and this caused conflict with the USG while I was setting it up. My mistake.

Garbage ubiquity has made the move in newer software to get rid of almost all the insights and logging that used to be available on this model even the older less powerful ucg.

Tolles Gerät, sehr viele Funktionen, funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Firewall ersetzt eine alte Sophos XG Firewall bei mir und verwaltet zusätzlich mein Ubiquiti Mesh WLAN. Ich bin positiv überrascht, was ich hier alles einstellen kann. Das Internet läuft rasend schnell hiermit.

Al cabo de un mes de comprar el AP UD6+ me compre el Gateway para eliminar del todo el router de Movistar. Con una ont es facilísimo. Puedes crear vpn para acceder desde el exterior como si estivieras en casa. La seguridad es infinítamente mayor. Desde el propio Gateway puedes configurar y controlar los AP sin problemas, todo centralizado y facil de usar. Estoy encantado.
