I did not think my dog would like these. Luckily- he does!
My dog actually loves these socks. I put them on him and he just walks around freely, no weird moonwalks or anything like that.I bought it for my dog since we've moved to an apartment with a lot of hardwood flooring, and he has longer nails (black nails, so we can't trim them too much), so he tends to slide around everywhere. It can be pretty funny to us, but it makes him uncomfortable. It's also pretty annoying to hear him walk around after a while, and no one wants to be annoyed by their own dog.So we got him these little socks. He's a Pomeranian mix (I'm not sure with what), so he's rather small — 17 lbs, approximately. It fits him perfectly, and he couldn't be happier. Now he can jump around and walk happily around the house, just as before. He does tend to take one of them off sometimes, but it's only one, and only sometimes (it almost seems like he's trying to make a fashion statement). So happy with this. Hope your dog would be, too!

I had high hopes...
Unfortunately, they were hard to get on and even harder to keep on. My dog had them kicked off in seconds or they had turned around on her feet, making them really slippery. Maybe gripper on both sides would help. I have an elderly dog with a torn meniscus in her knee and laminate floors, so they became a little dangerous. Darn it, I really wanted to like these. I haven't been able to find anything to keep her safely on her feet.

Seemed like a good idea, but did not work
I used this on my 17 year old dog - she is small (20 lbs) and though the item fits well the problem I had is that it was not effective give how much her legs get splayed. The rubber portions are fairly small. When her legs go out sideways from under her they don't make contact any longer as they are too small. I was hoping these would work as they do seem like they would let her paws breathe more.I tried them for about 30 seconds and then took them off and went back to using the Ultra-paws boots which seem to be more effective given her condition. If your dog is younger and their legs dont splay out as much it might work better for you.

Help for elderly dog with partial paralysis
Our 15 year old dachshund has partial paralysis in his back legs and could not keep them from slipping on the hardwood floors. He had to drag his back legs with them sliding in all directions. We have tried lots of remedies and had resorted to carrying him a lot of the time. I ordered these socks without much hope but they have been wonderful. He is now able to get his back legs firmly under him and walk much more normally. You can tell how happy he is. We took the packaging to our vet who made a copy so he can tell other families trying to help elderly dogs with problems walking.

I really wanted to love these socks
I really wanted to love these socks. Unfortunately, they didn't work for my 13 year old arthritic cavalier. The socks are well made and fairly easy to get on, but they just wouldn't stay in place. The grippy part of the sock kept sliding to the side, which made my cavalier slip even more than usual on our wood floors. After multiple falls in the span of an hour, we had to take them off.

Seemed to help...
Until my other dog ate them. I bought these for my old dog who needed traction on hardwood floors. It seemed to help however, they twist around too easily so the traction part ended up on top. Would be better if traction went all the way around. Then my young dog ate them. End of experiment.

Got these for our elderly miniature dachshund who loses traction on our hard floor surfaces. Works great, she no longer slips and falls on our floors! Have washed socks numerous times and the traction padding still holding up on the bottom of socks. I do wash in a mesh laundry bag because they might get lost is an HE front loader washing machine. Have line dried and used dryer, both with good results.

The socks were cute but kept sliding off my dog's paws. I have a miniature schnauzer and purchased an XS size. It was snug at first but then slowly slipped of his back feet within an hour. I wished it would stay on his feet due to our wood floors.
