Very sweet and great for liquids
After receiving this product, I noticed that it had a fairly distinct scent/smell. Not unpleasant but different. Tasting it is a bit off putting as there is also a strong flavor that goes along with the sweetness. As for applications, I have thought about them and realized that as a sweetener there is probably limited areas where I would want to use it.First in baking that calls for sugar, it would be difficult to use as those recipes are utilizing more than just the sweet property of sugar. Volume and other properties play an important role in baking. Alternatives such as using mixtures various sugar alcohols could cause digestive problems.Drinks, teas or other drinks with very specific flavor profiles would probably not tolerate the taste change that using this sweetener would cause. Alternatively where this does shine would be in smoothies or lemonade using lemon juice. Sweetening any tart strong flavored drink where the somewhat strange monk fruit taste could easily be covered works very well. Don't really know about coffee as I do not like coffee at all, but it would probably work fine.Rather expensive, but when used to replace sugar for calorie reduction to me it seems to be a very cost effective sweetener.I picked up an allulose/monk fruit sweetener to try to make lemonade. It works very well as a bowel cleanser. This on the other hand does not have such an effect at the low usage levels needed. Just remember that this is extremely sweet, and the amount needed for most applications should not really impact the taste of what it is being used on much.

Tiny Scoop Equals Tons of Sweetness!
I recently gave up adding sugar to my food and drinks, and I also gave up buying products that contain sugar. I was doing fine getting used to a no sugar life except I could not enjoy my morning cup of coffee without a bit of sweetness. I started looking for something that could give me just a bit of sweet without raising my glucose and without the usual aftertaste, and thankfully I found that Lakanto’s Monk Fruit products work great for me! Of all the products, Lakanto’s Monk Fruit with a High Purity of MV50 is amazing. I can't believe it takes such a small amount of the fine powder to sweeten my coffee! Each tiny scoop has a ton of sweetness! I am about to buy this for my family members who are diabetic. Also, I’ve gone beyond just using it for my coffee as I’ve used this instead of sugar to sweeten other foods such as desserts and even to make some delicious beverages. Use a very small amount the first time you try it! (Put a rubber band around the bottle to hold the tiny scoop so it doesn't get lost! Maybe Lakanto can come up with a solution?

it's good
I'm starting to eat without sugar and I saw a recipe that included this, but I think I like it better with erythritol for desserts because in its pure state it leaves a slight taste in the mouth, but it's not bad.

Be aware, VERY SWEET
Extremely sweet, even at less than recommended amount. That isn't the products fault because it did say you don't need much. It also seemed to have an after taste to me.

Good for coffee, tea and smoothies
Like other reviewers mentioned, and as described, this monk fruit is extremely sweet. That is a plus as it means we only need a little shake and the contents will last a long time. I put tape over half of the shaker top in order to better control the amount that comes out. Use too much and the taste is not right plus money is wasted. Monk fruit is known to be unsuitable for cooking, so we just use it in coffee, tea and smoothies. It’s saving me calories.I selected this product because it’s just monk fruit. it was the right selection for us.

A total rip-off -- AVOID
Absurdly expensive; you can get 20 times this much at Whole Foods for a third the price.AND, it tastes absolutely awful. Avoid. I feel really ripped off by this one.

bad taste
tastes like equal ( horrible). This is nothing like the other monk fruit version.I'll stick with the monk fruit mixed with Erythritol from now on. Those versions taste very much like real sugar.

Great sweetener
This monkfruit extract sweetener powder is so good in my coffee. I like my coffee black & sweet, but don’t want the calories that comes with it sugar. I haven’t tried it with anything else. This is my second bottle. It lasts a long time I cover the larger holes with tape & shake 4 times from the small holes. I don’t use the tiny spoonI tried the liquid too, but found that I used too much , too fast. It is very good too.I started with the crystals with erythritol & liked it a lot, but prefer the pure form
