Excellent support. Well made.
The pads that help prevent it from slipping down during play are very helpful. Excellent support , and I showed it to my orthopedist and he thought is was a very good choice. It has the hard bracing ghat he required. I have been playing Ultimate Frisbee hard with it for a year and it seems very well made.

Pick the exactly size of your leg
Very good. It locks well, but you need to get the exact size for your leg. Comfortable and secure, good for post-operative recovery after ACL surgery. Good material and came with all the evaluators.

Helped me a lot after injury
This saved me after a knee injury. You definitely don't want to use it on bare skin though, so buy a sleeve. The grips really irritate your skin after wearing it all day. Would have also liked better instructions on adjustments as there was a learning curve for sure. All in all I would 100% recommend this for the price and quality. I've used the overpriced doctors office version after ACL surgeries and this works just as good.

Product and vendor SUCKS!!!!
I tried this brace for over a month and it only stays in place if you remain stationary. The knee brace doesn't work for more than ten minutes before sliding down the leg and becoming completely misaligned. Plus, it slides up and down the leg after a couple of steps when trying to use over pants because the gel pads adheres to the fabric. Then moves up and down with fabric movement. Against bare skin to keep the brace in place it needs to be tightened so tight it becomes painful to wear almost immediately. Neither the thigh cuff or calf cuff were large enough to accommodate my leg. I ordered the XXl based on the measurement instructions but even then the brace joint would stay aligned with my knee. Save your money, this brace is completely useless!!! UPDATE: I have repeatedly refused to remove this review because it's true. The only thing worse has been the constant harassment from the vendor because I won't accept bribery to remove the bad review. They are completely clueless to the meaning of customer support and completely disregarded multiple requests to stop offering bribes to delete the review. The product SUCKS and the the constant harassment has led me to believe the vendor SUCKS even worse than the products they sell!!!

enabled my 19-year-old son to snowboard on a pre-planned skiing vacation
My 19-year-old son has only had this for a month, but we bought it because he really wanted to be able to snow-board on a pre-planned skiing vacation, and he's been having problems with a strained knee. He was able to snowboard for 2 days without further hurting his knee, so we were really happy that the brace worked so well for him.

Good
The knee brace itself is great and comes with spare parts. Well, all except for the two pieces that cover the hinges, and just my luck they, fell off within a week because they were just stuck on with adhesive. I can still use the brace but now the hinge is exposed and it now squeaks every time I walk. Otherwise it supports my knee better than what the doctor gave me for a torn quadriceps tendon.

Its worth the money
My husband would not of recovered from his injury if he had not had this brace. He pulled/tore MCL at work. He couldn't walk on it, was hopping everywhere and it was very swollen. I got his brace for him and within a week he didn't need the brace anymore. This takes the weight off the knee, stops unwanted movements and pressure and It fits comfortably. It was a bit tricky to learn how to use but after you figure it out this will not disappoint. We have owned a flooring company for about 20 years now and recommend this brace. Its the best we have found yet.

Worth every penny!!
Comfortable, multiple ways to adjust, great stability, stays in place! Had meniscus removed, bone spurs removed, and general cleaning up of a knee that has been abused for 50 years. Was able to play volleyball with this brace 6 weeks post op. The stability is great while allowing you to move in a natural way. I'm a bigger gal, both tall and thick and it handles my build no problem. Been using it for the last 6 months for anything from lifting to extensive household chores to sports and it's been holding up with zero issues. Highly recommended.

I have had a weak right knee since a childhood injury to the joint. I experience discomfort and weakness in the right knee on occasion and have been using various types of knee supports over the years since the injury occurred. I have never used this type of knee brace before and wanted to give it a try. The knee brace appears to be well made. The brace is mostly aluminum with a hinged knee joint. There are silicone inserts which run along the inside of the brace. The inserts rest against the skin and provide comfortable cushioning of the brace against the thigh and calf. There are six straps which wrap around the brace and are secured with Velcro. The straps allow the brace to be tightened around the thigh and calf. As I have a more slender thigh and calf than the girth of the brace can accommodate, I had to use the additional silicone pads to provide increased girth between the tightened straps and the thigh and calf. Without inserting the additional silicone pads, the brace would have been too loose and slide down my leg while walking. I am fortunate that I do not have any issues with bending the knee joint. I did not need to use any of the extension or flexion stops which were included with this brace. In use, the knee brace is comfortable to wear when it is properly fitted. I feel that walking with the brace on helps to reduce the discomfort I feel sometimes due to the old injury. The hinged knee joint flexes very easily and the entire brace is light in weight even with the six additional silicone pads attached. As I become used to the fit and feel while wearing this brace over time, I may try wearing it on my left knee. My left knee was also injured at the same time as was my right knee and it actually suffered more damage at the time than did the right knee. However, I experience discomfort now more often in the right knee than in the left one. The knee brace is a welcome additional to my collection of various knee supports purchased over time since the injury and it will be my first choice to wear whenever the need arises.

This is a well made and very complete knee brace system. Full set of flexion and extension stops, additional pads, spare strap loops and small spares. It has a good user guide and they have contact information for assistance. This is moderately complex first time to get it comfortably fitted and in place. If you need to limit extension or flexion range of motion it may take some adjustment and fitting to get it right. It’s worth it. It is more complex and involved to fit it right, but it offers superior support, and for me, where I have to limit flexion motion, well worth the time invested. When you get it adjusted, in place and settled, it offers excellent support, and is not uncomfortable- if it is, you need to make more adjustments. Check the sizing carefully before ordering, as there is a range for which each size is suitable, and some adjustments that can help tailor it to your unique body, but you want to start with the right base size for your legs. For me, once adjusted it’s been particularly effective when doing yard or home tasks when I often will bend my knee inadvertently past where it needs to be limited and re-aggravate the joint. This allows me to do the things I want in the yard or house without over-doing it. Much more capable and effective than a flexible or soft elastic wrap. Once you get used to it, motion is natural and comfortable, but first few times you wear it, take it easy on your goals. If set with flexion or extension limiting, or even without it can take a bit to get your natural rhythm back and not feel a little off balance. With the range of motion limited with a stops, you want to become accustomed to it before climbing a ladder or setting out on a trek. It is nice quality and has a wide array of adjustments for your particular situation. But it takes some patience to get the most out of it in support, comfort and impact by fitting it properly. Plan for a dedicated storage area, like a drawer or similar to keep the small stops, spare parts, straps and pads- along with the information and instructions together in one organized place.

I got this brace for my husband because he has pretty severe knee pain and most braces have not worked very well for him in the past. His right knee is the worst one, so we decided to try this for that side and see if it would help. So far it has actually been really great for him. He mainly uses it when his knee is acting up really badly, especially at work where he has to stand for long periods of time. The extra support seems to help take some of the pressure off his knee and makes the day a bit more manageable. It feels sturdy and well made, and the adjustable straps make it easier to get a secure fit. Once he has it on, it stays in place pretty well and doesn't constantly need to be readjusted. One thing that is important is making sure you measure properly before choosing a size. The instructions explain how to measure your thigh and calf, and it is definitely worth taking a minute to do that so you get the right fit. Luckily it fits him really well, even with his huge kneecaps. Overall this has been a really helpful support brace for him when his knee pain flares up. It is not a miracle cure of course, but it does give him extra stability and relief when he needs it most!

I have used a few different knee supports over the years, and this Komzer hinged brace is definitely more substantial than a typical elastic sleeve. The construction feels solid. The aluminum frame and hinged joints move smoothly without grinding or sticking. The silicone inserts along the inside provide cushioning against the skin and help reduce slipping. The six adjustable straps allow for a secure fit once everything is properly tightened. One thing to note is that fitting this brace takes time. It is not something you simply wrap on and go. The straps, pads, and hinge alignment need to be adjusted carefully for it to feel comfortable and supportive. Once dialed in, it offers strong stability and noticeably reduces that “wobbly” feeling during longer walks or when going up and down stairs. The included flexion and extension stops are a useful feature for anyone who needs to limit range of motion. Even if you do not use them, it is good to have that option. The brace also comes with extra pads to help fine-tune the fit, which is helpful if you are between sizes. Sizing is important. The upper thigh section is less forgiving, so measuring carefully before ordering is essential. If the size is slightly off, it can feel snug or may require the additional pads to achieve a secure fit. Overall, this is a sturdy, adjustable brace that provides firm support for knee instability or recovery situations. It is more involved than a soft wrap, but the added structure makes a difference. For daily support, light activity, or situations where you need controlled stability, it performs well.

I ordered this knee brace about a month ago because my right knee has been really bothering me during my morning jogs. I really needed something sturdy that would give me enough support to keep the joint stable, especially since I tweaked my ligament playing soccer last summer. The first time I strapped the brace onto my leg, I was very impressed by how solid the outer frame feels. The adjustable straps and the foam padding make the whole unit fit surprisingly comfortably around my thigh and my calf, without digging into my skin. The built in adjustable hinges are a fantastic feature; they allow me to actually restrict the range of motion so I do not accidentally bend my knee too far and cause another injury while running. The silicone grip strips on the inside are also incredibly useful, as they prevent the whole brace from sliding down my leg when I start to sweat. The only slightly annoying part is that all the straps and the heavy duty frame make the brace quite bulky under the clothing. You definitely cannot wear this under a pair of slim fit jeans; I have to wear athletic shorts or very baggy sweatpants if I want to keep the brace hidden. Overall, it is a very well made and secure orthotic device that gives me the confidence to stay active without worrying about the joint pain. 5 stars.
