Enjoyable read
This book completes the Taj Trilogy. While we usually read about Nur Jehan and Mumtaz Mahal, we rarely get to read about about Jahanara who also led a compelling life. The book traces her life at the Mughal court at a time where Shah Jahan loses his power and Aurangzeb takes over. Her equation with him and her sister is explored well. Liked reading the book.

Not recommended
This one disappointed me after the other two. It fails to show Jahanara as the woman we read about in history. And some things like having a child of Najabat or affair with Englishmen are too far fetched from reality.

A good read!
This is the third book of the Taj Mahal Trilogy. I really liked the first and second book. This book talks about the Shah Jahan and Mumtaz mahal's children and how they cope up with her death. i felt the story took slow turning in the beginning but it picked up the pace. This book is not as good as the other two, but one has to read it to finish the sequel.

A good read if you are interested in the Mughal history
The story was interesting but it is not as good as the first 2 books of this series.the story gives a detailed account as to how the Taj Mahal came into being and the life of jahanara

An excellent book.
A very well written and most interesting book. I am sure the historical background has been carefully researched and is accurate. I would readily recommend it to anyone, including those who have no knowledge of, or interest in, Indian history. Like- wise the 2 earlier historical novels the author has written on the Mughal Empire.
