really like this being backlit.. sony remotes seems to have way more buttons than i'm used to so having it for my new tv (qd-oled bravia 8 ii) is really nice. only issue was it took a while (11 days) to get it from seller..

Worked perfectly right out of the box for my Bravia 8 2024 55inch - wanted the upgraded with the backlit feature. No problems at all.

I bought two of these remotes to use with my Bravia 8 TVs. I wanted something backlit. The remote works the same as the one supplied with the Bravia TVs. As a matter of fact, if you don't try to pair both the new remote and old one at the same time, you can use both. That is what I do. I have the remote near the TV and the older one in the Kitchen. I love the backlighting. I just wish the remote included a charge cable (OK, even phones don't include a charger anymore.) and charging instructions. Also, finding a complete manual is a ticket to frustration. BTW, who warranty's this? Sony?

Love the fact that we can just recharge it. Backlight is a huge plus for movie night to see what you're hitting. One year down zero issues.

Would have given 5 stars if it came with a charging cord (USB-C) Functionally it is excellent, back lighting is adequate. Not having to replace batteries is great. Keep your original remote for use when you are charging this one, you can pair multiple remotes at the same time

Perfect! I paid $2000 for the TV that came with a cheap basic remote. This lighted remote should come with all Sony premium TV's. Sony should be embarrassed. This lighted remote is everything I could ask for.

Didn’t even last 6 months. It stopped charging and now it is completely dead. Definitely not worth $63 dollars and I wish I had that money back right now.

The remote works as described and the backlit seems a bit dim then I was expecting but works great 👍. Love the smart remote finder 😃. No charger included

Fantastic!! Got it to update my 2024 bravia 7 75" everything works like the original but upgraded! And type C rechargeable Now opening the package both new and old remotes work together but you wanna unpair your original so your TV can receive battery lvl from this one and operate find remote feature, once your new one is linked you can still use both, Say other end of couch or otherside of room since original was AA batteries and no finder feature you don't really need it paired to talk to tv anyhow but....it's OEM identical to the original, Now I gota get used to not needing flashlight beside me 😀

I was really surprised to find that the OEM remote wasn't backlit on such an expensive TV (77" Sony OLED). The standard remote has zero backlit, and you can't see anything in low light. This remote has just enough backlit that controls are clearly visible, and it lights up as soon as you pick it up or move it. It controlled the TV without the pairing process, but the backlight operation was intermittent. Once I paired to the TV and performed the software update, works very reliably. Very happy with the purchase.

Sad that for the money there isn’t a charge cord supplied. Sad to start with that the remote that came with the Bravia doesn’t have a back lit remote to start with! Love Sony but would have been great for the price paid!🥲
