Excellent gaming processor. In general, good enough for the money at worst, fantastic at best.
Low power, fantastic performance for games. Not bad for apps either.Running a low profile thermalright heatsink with slow fan. Very quiet.

Excellent value, phenomal performance per dollar.
Excellent value if picked up on sale. Snagged this for $220 and it absolutely stomps. Cinebench multi core comes in at 924. Compared to the top of their benchmarks this is tremendous performance per dollar, with the very best Apple M1 Ultra 20 core scoring just over 1600. Heck, the next best ranked a Ryzen 5 Threadripper 2990 with 32 cores only manages a synthetic 1201. That's nuts!I've had this up and running for a few hours with a very basic ID-Cooler Frozen a620 and it runs well within spec. Idle around 40c, full load around 65c. This packaging does not come with a cooler of any kind, so keep that in mind when you're budgeting. As I've been running benchmarks it'll hit the max TDP of 65w and just.....breeze through computations. No fuss, no muss. In general duty so far it smoothly ramps clock speed depending on the load without hiccups or slowdown. I never thought I'd see the day where a factory CPU will peg itself to 5.4ghz and scream for more yet sip power like this thing does.Just simply floored at how far AMD has come.

It’s a great processor.
I was going to go with the 7600x before I discovered that this processor is faster, while drawing less power, like most processors it’s also easy to install, and was detected by my motherboard immediately. Stays pretty cool with my Peerless assassin cooler, and supplies plenty of speed for my other components.

High efficiency, small compromise.
Low power usage versus higher end models, especially after tuning for minimum stable voltage at moderate speed. For testing, I was able to get a stable 4.8 Ghz at 1.000v when using a nicer air cooler. Only used 48w and stayed below 64 Celsius. Over 15,500 points using the Cinebench multi core test.

Value, quality
Value for money as always. Awesome CPU for a gaming build.

Nice and efficient CPU.
Great CPU. Not sure why an average user would need more than this. Will not bottleneck a video card.

Good modern CPU
This CPU performs great in Fortnite and Apex Legends. It can hit 90c on a Titan RX 240mm AIO but this is expected with Zen5 AMD CPUs. I never saw it thermal throttle in HWInfo during stress testing.

Tech media paints a bad picture, this is a great CPU.
YouTube and media sites hate the 9000 series - but if you own a 7000 series… why would you even upgrade? If you’re like me, coming from a 3700x, on old AM4, the choice was the $215 7600x, or the $240 9600x. Didn’t want to buy a 2 year old part, the 9600x was close enough in price. The value at its launch of $300 was not worth it, no. But AMD does these price games. Old news.AM5 6 cores can consistently beat AM4 8 cores in performance, and knowing that I went with the 9600x until the X3D chips have more availability. It’s hotter than AM4, but this is LGA sockets so I expected that. Your standard 4 heat pipe 120mm air cooler will work but fan speeds are gonna be high. With a 240 liquid cooler at 5.5Ghz all core OC @1.31v I don’t see over 65c. Great uplift in gaming from the 3700x.
