I have never enjoyed setting 'snappy traps' for a mouse as I was afraid of getting my finger caught. These traps are easy to set and reasonable enough so you can toss the entire trap plus mouse if you desire. Or, dispose of the mouse and use the trap over and over again.This is similar to ones I had before and although it is not 'mouse time' in the country, I did set one in the back room a couple of days ago.. And, much to my surprise one was in the trap this morning.. Guess that saying...quiet as a mouse is true. I haven't heard one in here and neither have my pups. So much for our hearing...Now, I am set for the upcoming colder weather in Vermont when the little critters are searching for a nice warm spot for the winter.And, am also wondering who said 'you can't build a better mousetrap'? This is certainly so much better than the snappy ones for me at an elderly age.Highly recommended..Edited on 15 OCT 2018...Have used 3 of these in the past couple of days. When they make the 'kill', they snap really hard and this trap becomes a throw away item. Not reusable due to the spring (?) inside uncoiling. Still highly recommended but not able to reuse them again. Edited on 22 Oct 2018... Looked more closely at the spot to the right of where I put the peanut butter. There is a small metal object which just needs to be pushed up and the trap will set again. SO, I threw 3 of these away and didn't need to do that...

The jaw is too small and too light even for the larger mice. The rats just carry them away. it may hurt them but not kill them.

Who knows? I still have mice. Im like farmer gray, they just keep coming. But this will kill them and stem the onslaught.

Easy to set. Easy to bait with the cap that is removable.

For some reason these would not trigger to catch/kill mice. Many would have the bait gone. I have 6 of them and after a month, not one had done it's job. The strange thing is the larger version works great for rats, killing one a day.

Great product! Super easy to use. The traps come with removeable cups to add your "bait" in, so you never have to touch the trap once it's set. Love the design, and how easy they are to use.

We had a mouse infestation at our cabin over the winter -- these traps got the job done. Unique removable "cup" for bait makes it impossible for mice to steal the bait.

The rodents were able to take the food off the trap without setting it off. I only trapped only 1 mouse so far, the trap doesn't work very well. I wouldn't buy or recommend this product.
