Meat Cooking Has Entered the Space Age (as promised)
I grew up with the birth of the microwave oven. It was novel and amazing and the dream was you would never use a conventional oven again. I cooked hamburgers, tv dinners, just about everything in the microwave. Restaurants began to use them regularly. But, after a short while, it became obvious that the food...was terrible. Soggy breads, dry meats, nuclear-hot-burnt-to-a-crisp. I remember the day going to restaurants I would ask if a certain item was microwaved cooked, and if the waiter said yes, I would order something else. But I got to thinking that there is that silver-foil that comes in some tv dinners and you use in the microwave. And I wondered if there was something similar. Enter this pan.I've had it for some months now and I cook every kind of meat in it to fabulous success. I just had jumbo shrimp this morning and I'm cooking spareribs right now. I've so gotten my money's worth from this pan. I spend $8 on meat for 2 meals. Some pointers for new users: the pan works like a real oven. Most times in microwave cooking, you set to high and blast away. My microwave defaults to it and you have to go out of your way to set it to not high. But some food will dry faster cooking on high. There will be a point you cook turkey, pork, chicken, fish and it will be sitting in a pile of boiling water in this pan. But if you keep it on high, that water will steam out and your food will go dry. Learn the power of cooking on medium. I have my 1/2 pound of porkribs on medium for 10 mins. They will be juicy and moist and well-cooked. Yes, you lose some of the microwave's hallmark speed, but you can't have everything. It WILL sear the bottom, but cooking on lower temps will do it less because there will be a lot of moisture inside. The pan stays hot for hours. I'm serious. Hours. CLEAN IT RIGHT AWAY. Because it stays hot for so long, and there WILL be meat residue inside, it will bake onto that pan with a vengeance. If you pour it out and clean it immediately, it takes 30 seconds. No joke. It's no stick, but not if you let it sit. I believe the pan works best with relatively low fat foods. I mean, I got pork ribs and it's doing okay, but I cooked some 15% fat hamburger and it turns into a volcano because that fat burns off and is on the insanely hot plate. I've cooked a lot of hamburgers and usually get the super lean.I'd say get two, but there's no reason to get two. It cleans so fast and is (so far) extremely durable. My ribs are done, so I'll leave it at that.

Great for veggies, leftovers, scrambled eggs
Adding to my previous review: I’ve learned how to make fried eggs (over easy) in this thing!! Which means I can make an entire breakfast of eggs, bacon, and potatoes in the microwave and avoid the mess on the stove. Love it more now!————I got this 3 years ago (in black) and didn't really use it for the first 6 months. I was actually thinking about re-selling it, then decided to throw some frozen green beans in there and see how it cooked. Well, I was sold after that. I've been using it regularly since then. It's great for fresh and frozen veggies, reheating leftovers, cooking bacon and sausages, and making scrambled eggs and omelettes. I'm experimenting now with making grilled cheese sandwiches and quesadillas. I like using it in our motorhome because it doesn't heat up the kitchen. I've cooked chicken and ground beef in it but have never done steak (we prefer our steak flame grilled). The surface is nonstick but I still spray it with oil out of habit. It has become a very useful and versatile little griller. Glad I kept it.

I wasn't expecting too much but OH BOY, I love this pan !
The media could not be loaded. I wasn't expecting too much from this pan .. so after reading the manual I thought I would just jump in and give it a whirl. No PREHEATING is needed... that was a surpriseDID YOU HEAR THE SIZZLE ????????.. I just added a sm amount of oil to the pan as I wasn't sure it it needed it or not.. then plopped the steak into the pan.. into a medium size Sharp microwave.. set it at 3 minutes on HIGH.. ( see video when it was ready to be turned over ).. turned over and set it for 3 1/2 more minutes... and VIOLAHONESTLY, this is the best taste and texture I have ever grilled a steak at home .. Usually to get it cooked enough for me, it ends up being tough and dry... NOT this Baby I am soooo soooo PLEASED>>>>>>>It was browned on the outside w a slight crust.. but the inside was soft and tender like melt in your mouth Steak House Prime !! This was NOT an expensive steak rather a sm sirloin..If this pan can do nothing but cook my steak, burgers, salmon and chicken breast it will be worth its weight in Gold...I am that impressed.. This is not for a large family .. it would be best for single or couples.. It can hold approx 4 large hamburger patties... to large steaks 3-4 size chicken breasts and 2 med size salmon steaks...Will definitely be sharing my pleasure in this purchase of this product and I will recommend it highly

Great Grill Marks But the Lid Seal Needs Improvement
I’ve used it a few times now and it cooks fine but the lid seal pops off and is a pain to put back on. I read the other reviews where the seal has broken and I can’t see why since it reds to be stretched to be re-installed.
