ICTC Mauviel copper Champagne Bucket (26x18x20)

Simply gorgeous and worth every dime.

I have the Old Dutch cheap decorator stuff and I have the amazing Falk copper cookware. Falk does not make a champagne bucket...But Mauviel has a good name, so I thought I'd try it. This is not for cooking-obviously- but I thought the finish would be much better. That it would not come tarnished. With copper so thin, it reminds me of the cheap Indian silver plated stuff, the tin just waiting to peek through. I like the inset for two bottles of Champagne, however. And the handles.A disgression: really this review should be about Falk cookware- which is not sold on Amazon....But Falk cookware is stupendous, the best I have every owned. It is not that I haven't tried several great brands, but I've given my 5 daughters the All-Clad, the Cuisinart, the Calphalon! Okay, in addition to the Falk, I've keep the big Le Creuset roasters (nothing better than those for roasting!) and the Lodge fry pans (still the best for steaks).Anyway- back from the digression: this bucket looks the part, but if you want a classic champagne bucket, go with crystal . I didn't want quite that formality, and I got a copper one that's not the best looking. And reinforced my love of the Falk line of copper products!
