This exercise mat is really sturdy and comfortable for home workouts. The 2-inch thickness gives great cushioning, especially for floor exercises, stretching, yoga, or light strength training, so it helps protect your knees and back on hard floors. The folding design is super convenient—it’s easy to set up and just as easy to store away when you’re done, which is great for small spaces. It also has handles, so moving it around is simple. The material feels durable and easy to wipe clean, and it holds up well with regular use. It also provides good support without feeling too soft or sinking too much during workouts. The only downside is that it can feel a bit bulky when folded, and it’s not ideal for high-impact or intense training like jumping or heavy martial arts work.

I think this is the perfect exercise mat. It is a good two to three inches thick and really cushions you while you are exercising. I got this because I moved into an apartment with hardwood floors and I absolutely need protection from how firm that surface is to exercise on. This mat functions perfectly to provide me with a stable surface that is soft enough to keep me from the pain of exercising on a hardwood floor. The mat has proven to be extremely durable. It does not deform over time. It is still in the same great shape it was when I got it. You can easily fold it up and move it to another place so it is not in the way. I leave it folded up and on the floor so that my cat can use it as an extra bed when I am not exercising.

I was time for a change. I've owned many mats, but all of them roll up rather than fold, and no matter how thick they were, the foam sunk in so my knees and tailbone weren't protected from our hardwood floor. So I went searching through Amazon and other retailers for a mat that folded rather than rolled up, one with mostly positive reviews, and hopefully cost under $50. One of the highest rated was the CAP Barbell All Purpose Folding Anti Tear mat. I've owned many CAP fitness items, from barbells and weights to benches, and I've always found their gear to be a combination of above-average quality and reasonable prices, so I ordered the mat. This mat arrived well-boxed, not just shoved in a transparent plastic wrap. Not only did it arrived in a cardboard shipping box, it was also packed in a plastic wrap. When I opened it, it had no strong or unpleasant smells, just a very faint odor that wasn't unpleasant. It had no tears or damage of any sort. I unfolded it, put it on the floor, and got down on it. I found the foam was dense enough to keep my knees from sinking through to the floor, and when doing bridges, it kept my hands and feet off the floor. A variety of exercises later, I found not even my elbows sunk through to the floor. The foam is comfortable to me, and it protects me from the hard wood floor. Awesome! For reference, I currently weigh 145 lbs. While my husband said it was like a mat at PT, I don't think the stitching is that good. On the other hand, it cost about a quarter of what the mats at PT (or Lululemon) cost, so that's fair. I'm very happy with my CAP Barbell All Purpose Folding Anti Tear mat. It protects my elbows, knees, hands and sit bones from the floor, letting me do my exercises and PT in comfort on the floor rather than on the bed, which is a huge improvement.

Terrific gym mat. Lightweight yet 2” thick. I tried it at 155 pounds and it is awesome. Our 7 year old granddaughter is learning gymnastics. It folds small to slide under bed in tri-fold. Has a carry handle and is super light weight yet very sturdy. Younger sister does stumbling on it and perfect for any active child plus light enough they can carry it themselves.

Decent mat for gymnastics. Thick enough to cushion the floor for rolls. Folds up to store away. Would buy again.

I bought this all-purpose folding anti-tear exercise mat to use under my kids’ gymnastics bar, and it’s been great for that purpose. The mat is thick and very well-padded — exactly what I wanted to add extra safety and cushioning when the kids practice, climb, or occasionally lose balance. Love it! Perfect thickness, very durable and a pretty pink color just as pictured. Also, able to store and carry because it easily folds up and the due to the attached handles. Works great!

I asked for this as a gift to exercise and I am completely happy with this product. It is firm but soft enough to be comfortable on my joints and bones when laying on it. Absolutely perfect, and it folds up very easily to store it next to my multigym.

Used this mat for at least a month, a couple times a week, it's very comfortable and has retained it's shape. It's easy to pack away and very light to move around. Would definitely recommend for your exercise use.

My physiotherapist encouraged me to do some yoga. I am using this as an extra thick yoga mat because my joints hate touching hard floors. Regular yoga mats seem very overpriced for how uselessly thin most of them are. This mat is ultra thick, does not hurt your joints when squishing your knees or elbows into it, yet is firm enough to remain stable. It’s also the correct dimensions for a standard yoga mat. I’ve been using it daily with no issues. I also enjoy how easily it folds away for storage. I did find it comical that the box it comes in recommends a “team lift” - two person job to safely move it apparently! But you won’t need to call a friend - it weighs a pound at best. Very happy with it and would recommend.
