The false filter jug
The information about it is false, it is not a glass jug, just plastic. I was very disappointed and sent it back immediately

I bought this product to clean the tap water. It seems to taste better and I feel safer about the water I am drinking.

Cracks formed around the base within 6 months use, never put in the dishwasher, and now it’s leaking water through said cracks. Ironically this is now going to result in more plastic waste!

After having a glass jug for 5 years which smashed by accident we got this plastic replacement. Within 2 weeks the jug had multiple cracks around the curve just above the base and started leaking. It is a design flaw as it wasn't damaged. Submitted for return with 30 days and will buy glass jug - more expensive but clearly it works!

I’m disappointed. I got this filter because I wanted to filter out microplastics and my Zero Water filter doesn’t do that. This one sounded superior. However, the tester (that came with the Zero Water) tests 0 with the Zero filter but in the 40’s for this one. I thought I was getting a better filter. So, I’m running the water through both because I want the microplastics out but the purity the Zero Water filter.

I live in a small town where, like so much of America, the infrastructure is aging. We don't have boil water notices but we do have regular water system breaks so that the water runs brown. I worked at the hospital and noticed that from time to time, even with all the hospital water purification filtering, sometimes the water did not pass testing to be given to patients. This grabbed my attention and suggested to my mind that perhaps my Britta water filter was inadequate for drinking water. I hate generating all the empty plastic and toting what is essentially tap water from elsewhere home from the store. Thrilled to learn that LifeStraw came in a pitcher form. I have been very happy with the results. Also beautiful. Advice, though - pay extra and get the glass version if you want to run it through the dishwasher, they're not kidding when they say the plastic version is not dishwasher safe.
