Animology Glamour Puss No Rinse Cat Shampoo, Peach, 250 ml

Nice scent and easy to use

’I’ like the product’s peach scent—it smells very subtle and appealing to ‘me’—TO HUMANS. My Persian cat runs for the nearest human inaccessible area, if he sees us get the Glamour Puss bottle out. He absolutely HATES the smell. The product leaves his coat beautifully soft and well-conditioned, once we’ve caught him, wrangled him, and finally applied it. Our Persian cat pouts for ages after, showing distinct signs of ‘PTSD.’ He acts moody, skittish and suspicious of us for several days after we’ve used the Glamour Puss on him. We will only use products such as this on him, if his fur is very dry & starting to knot. I’ve tried several different brands and fragrance options of no water/no rinse cat shampoo/conditioners—sadly our boy detests and resents them all (and us for using it on him!) Glamour Puss’ peach scent is probably the least offensive of the available products; the fragrance isn’t quite as strong and overbearing like some of the others.Why not make these products unscented? Instead of fragrances, put baking soda in the product to neutralise unpleasant kitty odours. Cats have a very sensitive sense of smell—perfumed products, designed to please humans, are more of a ’punishment’ to cats. I’ve searched for an unscented cleaning and conditioning product for long-haired cats ever since we got our Persian, 1-1/2 years ago, but have yet to find any. Animology, what do you say?

For our cat it is a better alternative to a regular bath, I wouldn’t go as far to say she likes it but, she tolerates it much better and it freshens her up nicely, she is an indoor cat so not really getting into stinky situations!

Nice scent but doesn’t last and doesn’t make cats furr fresher or less grim sadly

I purchased this no rinse cat shampoo as my cats were starting to get abit smelly and they absolutely hate having a bath or the shower head blasted on them. (I end up with lots of scratches if they see water coming towards them)I am very impressed with it. It smells lovely of peach. no irritation experienced from either of my catscomes in a decent size bottle so will last lots of sprays.granted, my cats dont like the sound of me squirting it directly onto them, they try to run away so i spray it directly onto my hand and rub it on them, which they dont mind.extremely good value for money - especially the easiness of not being attacked with vicious claws.

Easy to use spray, and doesn’t bother my kitten too much to use it. He’s not too happy being sprayed but loves been groomed so deals with it. Doesn’t have much smell to it, A very mild peach smell. Was hoping for something a little stronger smelling as my cat has issues with his rear end glands 🙈I would recommend this, but if your cat has issues like mine go for something withth a stronger smell

I tried this spray on my two Persians. I sprayed it on their brush and not directly on their coat so they didn’t mind at all. Their coat is much softer and easier to handle after using this product. I wish I had used it earlier to prevent mats. Once the coat is matted, nothing will work except cutting the mats. Only issue with the product is the scent: although not overpowering, pet products should always be unscented as it is very disturbing for them to smell perfume and even has the potential to generate fights between cats if they suddenly smell different… Please please do an hypoallergenic/unscented version of this!

I was worried when I bought this for my elderly cat who has arthritis and struggles to stand for long in her cat litter and slips occasionally. She doesn’t mind the spray as it’s not an aerosol and it does make her sweet smelling again. Easy to use and seems to work well. Very pleased with product.
