Setting this up for the first time with a brand new Route10 was a mess - hope you've got another DHCP server available somehow, otherwise you won't be able to activate this with a PC. It insists on using HTTPS with a locally resolved domain for setup instead of a good old IPv4 address for its web interface. I couldn't for the life of me get this activated using an iPhone over bluetooth. Honestly I should've returned this and just stuck to the cloud option, as it doesn't really offer anything that the cloud one doesn't, and it uses up a PoE port, because there's no power supply included. If you are like me and you are considering this because of peace of mind of having everything within your home or building, then it's not worth the extra hassle.

This network controller requires an internet connection to set it up initially. I personally do not like this aspect. Once it's setup you can manage it locally. My issue is that if you can manage it locally, you can set it up locally. If the product is security oriented it should be that secure by allowing a fully local setup..
