Great product - Great price!
I'm a Mac user with a beautiful iMac that does not include a CD/DVD drive. I plugged this puppy in to the USB port, put in a DVD and presto! Excellent video! Thank you so much. Now I don't have to worry when my friends stop by for dinner and a movie!!!!

Works with my Macbook
I ordered this to have for my laptops, since as with most new ones, they don’t have a disk drive. When traveling in the car without internet access it’s easier to watch a DVD on the bigger screen than the small screen of my phone. I like that it has 2 different USB options for hook up. And I love that the cable is connected directly to the drive and wraps into the bottom for storage. That’s very convenient. I had problems hooking this up to my windows based laptop and I’m not sure why. I couldn’t get the movie to just play. I actually couldn’t even get the DVD control page to come up. But once I plugged it in to my MacBook it whirled right to life and the DVD started playing. It’s very quiet, you don’t even hear it spinning. It’s a sleek design and super light weight. The little rubber feet on the bottom will keep it in place on your desk and the color is nice. The top has a bit of a textured feel to it. This will definitely come in handy for my MacBook and I’ll play around with my windows laptop and see if I can get it to eventually work with that one too.

USB-A connector is flaky, otherwise works fine
The one I received has a flaky USB-A connector. I tried it on a couple of different computers, USB-C works fine, I'm guessing I got a lemon, and I wanted it for my laptop, so it's all good. It'll keep me from tossing my DVD collection for another year.

a must have as disk drives are obsolete in most laptops
I didn't realize how hard these were to find, until I had a photo CD I wanted to load! NONE of my laptops have a CD or DVD drive! I had to dig out an old desktop from like 2012 to do that. This is WAY more convenient. It's slow to start, takes about 30 seconds to get the media spinning so it can read it. Once it gets going it does everything it says - it can read cds, DVDs, and burn them. The brushed finish makes it look nicer too. It doesn't take up much space, so I just keep it next to where I dock my laptop. Definitely a must-have since there is no way to read cds on computers anymore. It burns them a little slowly, but as someone who grew up in the 90s I must say it is faster than the CD burners back then. The CDs I burned (felt so fun to make a mix cd, and I had like no idea where to even download music nowadays lol!) played just fine with no glitches or skipping.
