PERFECT (just use alcohol first and place them in the proper place)
I had a severe eye infection for 3 months and I am still not allowed to get water in my eyes. I bought these, along with the Lagnlnaoy Shampoo Cap Shield at the same time, thinking I would like the Lagnlnaoy better. But, these are SO MUCH better. With the Lagnlnaoy I couldn't wash my own hair well. I think that would be good if you have someone who can wash your hair for you. With these, if you place them right, they keep your eyes completely protected! TIPS: Wipe above your eyebrows with alcohol. Let it dry. Then place this as close to above your eyebrows as possible (without touching them...the double sided tape might hurt coming off if it is on your hair) and then run your finger over the taped area a few times. If I place it higher than this, when I am washing my hair, my forehead gets pulled and then the tape comes off my forehead and the water runs underneathe it. As long as I use alcohol and place them properly, these are PERFECT. These allow me to have a relaxing shower. Before I got them, it was so stressful and almost impossible to keep the water from touching my eyes.

Post op perfect!
I recently had my cataract surgery and of course one at a time --So the "don't get water near your eyes' instructions made life difficult for quite a while. These work really well--The strength of adhesive is impressive because it is so easy to remove! great value; I didn't need that many, but as it turns out, they are not only for post op. When the kids need a shampoo, it's a fun way to keep suds out of their eyes and they can see through it. I am sure there are more uses that have not been found yet.... Highly recommend!

Make your own, it'll work better
Do not purchase. The Adhesiveness doesn't stick on the sides, nor the forehead. I had LASIK and used, well tried to use, these to prevent water from getting into my eyes, but the quality of the tape is sooooooo cheap that I somehow got water under the "shield" every time. Peeling off the shield from my face was uncomfortable, where you think it would be less annoying since the stickiness was poor, but they parts that DID stick left lines on my face.

Shielded
The shields work well. The tape adheres effectively and is easy to remove after a shower. The one drawback is that the shield can too easily come off in the course of a shower. if you inadvertently brush against the shield.while showering.

Great product, great price.
I bought these in preparation for cataract surgery and they worked beautifully. My eye doctor’s office had never seen them and I gave them a few to show to their other patients. I couldn’t use as many as was included in the pack, so I shared them with other friends who are having cataract surgery. I think they would also be good for little kids who don’t like getting their hair washed because of the possibility of shampoo in their eyes. A great product and a great price!

OK-but you need to know the short-comings for post eye surgery use
I bought these, probably like you, just had recent eye surgery (cataracts). And my eye surgeon told me to keep water out of my eyes for 2-4 weeks. Her exact quote, "Don't mess up my good work".... So you need to keep water out of the eyes for at least 2 weeks, and better to endure up to four weeks, to be safe. That make's washing hair and shaving in the shower a stress event. These shields do definitely help, but it is not so easy as popping them on and getting down to business. Here is what I know, and I hope this can help others- At least 50% of the shields I have used after two weeks pop up on either the left corner or the right corner of the shield. The adhesive can let go on the corners. I am not completely sure if it is happening because a water stream hit it, or just loosening from humidity. So you need to check the seal with (important) un-soaped hands. Rinse your hands, first-You already know that the Bromfenac drops you use every morning can burn eyes, so imagine getting shampoo in the eye, then what?..... if a corner does pop up, you can hold the shield in place on your forehead with one hand, while you use the other to apply shampoo or rinse. Half the time, that is what I need to do. Despite what the manufacturer's photos show on Amazon, you positively do not want the water stream from the shower had washing down on top of your head and over your face-that will 100 pct cause the shield to washed away. You need to apply the shield, put your shower head above your head at a 30 degree up angle at least, and turn around and apply shampoo and rinse with your back to the shower, and your head at an up angle away from the shower stream. You need to judge the water flow so that it keeps flowing backward and away from your forehead hairline, and let it run down your back. As long as you keep the water flow way from the shield seal, that will help a lot. But be ready for one hand to hold it in place, and use the other to work your hair. So with all that said, the shield helps reduce stress or anxiety about getting shampoo in your eyes. But I wish i could be sure the corners would always hold. When the corners do hold well, then two hands to work your hair is no problem. I would also recommend keeping the shield on during the first couple minutes of hair drying, to get rid of any drips. Use the hair dryer from the side at warm (not hot) temperature and medium fan speed. If you are going to towel your hair, first-bring the towel up from from behind and over your head, not from the front. Be careful not to dislodge the shield. Message for the manufacturer, if you are reading this. I am glad I have these shields. But I would happily pay extra for them, if you can improve the adhesive strip so that it is reliable for holding in place on the forehead. I think most others would agree. Make the glue able to hold up to water and humidity, I would be glad to pay for that.

I can carefully wash my hair!!!!
These shields are wonderful. I just had a cataract done. I can not get water in eye. They stick through the shower and when washing my chin length hair I do add extra tape just to allow me more security. Very good product.
