I try American cornbread
I like making my own soup, from homemade stock. My intention this time round was to make broccoli and cheese, which is always good. It occurred to me that cornmeal dumplings would be a good accompaniment. However, for some reason, I'm not always successful with dumplings, though I'm a good cook otherwise. Then the idea hit me: American cornbread, but baked in a muffin tray. Cornbread muffins baked that way would be the right size. I chose this brand because no milk is needed. I don't drink milk, and rarely have it in the house. This brand was a good choice in any case: the cornbread "muffins" turned out real nice. There was enough batter for eleven of them. I had some over, after finishing the soup, so put them in the fridge. Next morning, they had dried out slightly. Steaming for about ten minutes got them tender again. Three cornmeal muffins with strong black coffee to accompany made for a very enjoyable mid-morning meal. To conclude, I am very satisfied with this product, and will buy it again. A little expensive, it must be admitted, so it will have to be an occasional thing.

Sweet and cakey
Definitely on the sweeter side. Was easy to make and came out well, was very cakey in texture and taste. Almost feel like it could of passed for a cake if i put some icing on and called it a cake.

This brand of cornbread is just the best. But why are all of the stores, including Whole Foods selling the gluten free version only? What going on?

Didn’t try yet but the but the potato flakes for mashed potatoes or whatever are bland taste like nothing. Hopefully this product is better. Easy also expensive compared to other products.
